Re: Tomahawks

I have both the CS Trench Hawk and United Cutlery M48 Ranger Hawk. Got'em both for the cool factor, but they have their limitations. I love the concept of the Tomahawk and when I get the fund, want a custom job . Of the two, I can actually see using the UC M48 in a combat /self-defense situation. It...

Ridiculous Zombie Themed Products

Maybe this topic has been covered by the experts within the Forum ,if so, I positive they will let me. But this is something that has really started bugging me lately. While Grocery shopping last night, I stopped by the magazine aisle to check out the latest Gun and Gear Mags. Low and Behold, what d...

Re: Zombie Training Magazine [Need Reviewers]

Why would anyone want to train Zombies? Aren't things bad enough now? It's training for dealing with and handling the zombie menace. Mostly zombie apocalypse survival. You might want to consider posting a sample article or two on your website. How big are the magazine files? and format? I can't tel...

Re: What Do You Expect From a Monster/Zombie Novel

I'm at the moment rewriting a major novel from the 19th century and introducing monsters (I wouldn't consider them zombies but more like super intelligent zombies with super strength) into it. I won't say what book it is yet, but what would you consider characteristics you enjoy most about zombie/m...

Re: Bringing a knife to a gunfight- Tueller Drill (21 foot r

Interesting thread. First let me start by stating I'm not LEO and unfamiliar with the Tueller Drill. But, I have been in two actual knife fights in the last 20 years, so have some real world experience on the dynamics that take place. Well, in all honesty one was a real fight, the other was an attac...

Re: Would a 22 LR kill a zombie?

The answer is a simple yes. I just finished my daughters science project in which we fired 5 rounds of Winchester 40 grain 22lr into five different lumber samples all 1.5 inches thick. Pine, Douglas fir and Poplar did not even stop the rounds. Red Oak averaged a penetration depth of 1 inch and Mapl...

Seriously go check them out! 2012 is a good year if you like Condor knives and machetes! A new Golok knife and Village Parang that make this old hatchet/tomahawk junkie rethink his tool set. I have no affiliation with Condor. cheers Saw the picture on the Condor website, doesn't look that special. ...

The Jakarta Pandemic: "Surburban Warfare".

I just finished "Jakarta Pandemic" , a slightly different take on the typical SHTF global pandemic story. There are many books featuring the ultra-squared away Prepper and his family, facing off the hordes of looter, cannibals and bikers, this book takes a slightly different angle. Still has the squ...

I have to admit, I'm surprise there aren't more hits or discussion on this thread. With all the talk about gear, kit, BOBs, AR's AK's etc, very little about developing the body to hump all that crap. You can be the most well prepared prepper in on the planet, and die of a heart attack, the first wee...

Re: Why is it so hard to find a good B.O.B.?

As someone who humped a Alice Ruck for over 10 years, I'll tell you, there's a good reason they are so available on today's civilian market. The Ruck is one of the most uncomfortable SOB's in the work to haul around for any length of time. While stationed in Germany, I participated in the annual Nij...

Re: The Myth of "The Grey Man"

Maybe I haven't properly explained my "homeless" theory, thus I shall give more details. Currently, LEO targets the homeless as a nuisance to the greater public order. Business owners don't want them around their establishment, homeowners near their neighborhoods. Thugs and hoodlums target the home...

I say, you have a great opportunity to try out just every firearm and melee weapon you have. Invite some buddies and have a pig roast after. That might take awhile and I'd be damn tired of pig by then. This is coming from the down to two packs (of bacon) a day guy. Donate the majority of the ...

Re: which nations are best "equipped" to survive the ZPAW

To control a Zombie outbreak, a Nation, meaning it's Government, must control it's population, movement within it's borders and it's national borders. The US has no control over it's borders, during a zombie outbreak that situation would only get worst. Max Brooks pretty much nailed it, when he pred...

Re: Ruger Gunsite Scout Rifle

I love the concept, bolt action, magazine fed utility rifle. It will never replace your AR or Sniper Rifle, I'd like to see it in 5.56mm or 6.8. In jurisdiction where a traditional "black rifle" would raise too much attention as a Scout rifle wouldn't.

If you re-read my post, I said something LIKE a pilium, not a piluim or exactly. Any US Marine can teach basic bayonet thrust ...
