Re: MAK 90 Resurrection Pictures
Shoe Daddy, that stock set is beautiful! Nice work! The 74 muzzle break looks great too. Shane P, sorry to hear about your current situation. I hope things get better soon. I love that Ace folder you put on there. I am now officially jealous. How difficult was it anyway? There's no way I could swing...

Re: Bowhunting Bum Bag Bollocks
Cat Quiver. There are several versions, the one here is the 3; it rides center of the back and is very stable. Drawing the arrows is easy and quiet. (Though putting them back in is another matter all together.) http://www.3riversarchery.com/product.asp?i=4022-3X" onclick="window.open(this.href);retu...

Re: Aus.Templars Pocket Kit
The only thing I could suggest is to add one or two rubber bands to the outside. They keep the tin closed, they make it harder for the kit to accidentally slide out of your pocket, and it's an easy place to store them.

I just ordered my ACE side folding stock today. but the old saying buy once cry once cost 177 with shipping after my military discount. I went with there ultra light modular stock with 10inches in length and gonna have to cut off the the rear tang for flush mount receiver block. Okay, now I'm drool...

I like that the main cargo pocket is accesible without opening the flap. It looks like a really well thought out design, very nice.

Nice looking setup. Is it pretty much full, or do you have room left over for more stuff?

Re: MAK 90 information needed
Nope, mine does not have the third hole above the mag release. Also I might not have the rifle much longer, but can someone suggest a quality synthetic replacement stock set? I can't really swing a wood replacement right now due to funds, but the top screw is stripped out and the stock wobbels unco...

Re: MAK 90 information needed
Is there any way I can swap out the stock with a standard wooden AK style and still have it 922r compliant? (I would prefer to keep a wooden stock, I think they are sexy). Pics when I remember my photobucket password. Absolutely! I did mine this past December. Basically, you need 5 to 6 U.S. made p...

Re: Colt Delta Elite?
I haven't seen or handled one of the new Deltas, but I have an old school Delta that I bought in early '91. I switched to a Colt 1991 .45 in '97 due to ammo cost. The Delta hasn't been fired in several years but aside from some slight wear to the finish from carry and use, it's still in perfect shap...

Re: Seeking 1911
I am not bothered by the weight of the gun. People who say this have never carried a pistol all day. I'm going to have to disagree on this one. I used to carry a 1911 all day, and it never bothered me. As has already been said, a good holster and belt make a HUGE difference. I now carry a Glock 19 ...

Re: Name your Dream 3 Gun Carry
My PERFECT 3 gun carry for SHTF I already have: Colt 1991 A1 45, Norinco AK, and my Ruger 10-22 (for small game, gonna have to eat).
If I HAD to choose a handgun, a rifle and a shotgun only there's a Winchester 12 ga. in the locker.

Ditto. Rescue probably could have been much quicker if they knew where to look from the beginning. A nice smoky fire could have been a huge help.Mister Dark wrote:...although I would have tried to make a signal fire...

Re: How do you store your firearm in your go bag?
I often carry my gun in a Fox "Mag Shooters Bag" along with some other stuff. In order to keep the gun both protected and concealed in the bag I put it in a zipper bag that I found at Walmart. The zipper bags are about the size of a "bank bag" or "cash bag" but have an outer woven cover and come in ...

I remember staring out the window as trees turned into suburbs and feeling a sense of loss. I know that feeling all too well. Re: Chase The Hero's EDC/GHB
Nice looking kit. I'm new at all of this, but the only thing I can think of to add is a couple of bandanas and some insect repellant. Walmart currently has small spray bottles of Off that are about the size of a large marker. They are most likely a seasonal item though. The shemagh is cool, but I wo...
