Re: Battlefield 3

Man im with you guys, i have been playing the BF Series since 1942 first came out... never picked up any of the console games though... so far it looks nice and pretty... and they might have worked a better singleplayer storyline than Bad-Company 2 But all-in-all they have kept producing decent mutl...

Re: Let there be fire!

one thing you guys might wanna try is hiking without bringing any bird-nests (thats what boyscouts called like cotton balls or rope frayed and pulled apart) and keep an eye out for small thin stuff that you could grab... this is a practice i got into during boyscout backpacking trips where i would s...

Re: "Absolute Cheapskate Way to Start Making Knives "

http://www.hossom.com/jonesy/ I saw this years ago and have been trying to find it off and on to post it here. Someone on another forum linked to it today, so here y'all go. The only thing I would take exception to would be to please use veggie oil instead of used motor oil to harden the blade, par...

Re: Need some help here with Sheaths

To start making sheaths, your best bet would be to find some thick scrap leather and some waxed thread, and start practicing. You're not going to get high quality on your first try, and leather working can get pretty expensive pretty quickly. I agree with this, it is ultimately worth it because you...

Re: Warthog Knife Sharpener?

Feel like that would be overkill for most knives... plus that price is a bit steep, ultimately for a price like that you'd wanna pull out for a Japanese water stone which you can sharpen at any angle you want free hand: http://www.knifecenter.com/kc_new/store_detail.html?s=BO09KE180" onclick="window...

Re: Titanium Knives - Good, Bad? Anyone have experience?

For that price you can buy nice high carbon steel knives... not top of the line but like nice ones... and not just 1 knife but like 5... http://www.knifecenter.com/kc_new/store_detail.html?s=SP10FPGR" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; : Currently my knife i carry everywhere... with a zip...

Re: Long term agricultural problems after Z day

I really like this idea of seed banks, but how do we save the seeds long term? can we just freeze them or dehydrate them and vacuum seal them? How much land, how much light, what are the best varsities of plants should we look at for subsistence... also maybe specifically what locations for which se...

Well, I'm in Huntington Beach, right in the middle of Orange County..... But... My business is about 5 miles away in Santa Ana, it's a 3500 sq ft cinderblock building with easy access through the ventilation fans in the warehouse to the roof (perfect for defense). I started prepping only pretty rec...

Re: Urban predators (non-human kind) they are here without f

So a lot of you have been saying guns and dogs for your safety against these predators... but what about a nice simple trap. Well its not as easy as point and click with your firearms, but there a great way to remove the immediate threats around your house and great practice for the PAW. There are m...

I think this would be interesting if you could create a standard type of course that could be setup. There are two things that spring to mind; 1942 US Ranger Videos and These different courses springing up around as annual events. 1942 US Ranger Training Videos that were recently Declassified: Playl...
