Has anyone used this and if so, what are your thoughts on it?

I'm looking into getting a cache and one of the locations I want to put it is a giant half dirt, half rock, half sand island that no one goes on. How will sand effect the cache if it's being surrounded by sand on all sides of the PVC?

One thing I dislike about this is people use it for a bug out bag. If I saw this from a long distance and I had a rifle, it'd be a target to me.
