Having a cigarette and coffee in the garage at the moment so think of arnold in the tool shed during that scene in the movie (Commando) every sharp and dangerous object you could use for a edged weapon is readily available.

Re: What Did You Do Today To Prepare?

Worked my fifth consecutive 12 hour shift, trying to pad the budget and knock out some of the money zombies. Our company is going on a 7/12 work schedule until Christmas that will just about kill all of our outstanding debts. And finish funding a sidearm for daddy.

Re: Hurricane Sandy - the next "perfect storm"?

They are pumping this up to get ratings thats it Who is "they"? NOAA? You know, diminishing the seriousness of what could be a storm of the century, and thus trying to encourage people to lower their guard on their preps, is irresponsible and not at all in the spirit of this website. I suggest that...

Well sitting in the garage smoking so many options, closest would be 22oz framing hammer, next then cold steel camp axe last choice would be yesterday's diaper pail bag but biological warfare might be a little overkill.

Re: buggin out with a pet

Ran the MBO this last weekend with gus and i got to say its nice having a well trained dog again. He did very well except for a little tangle with some overly friendly cattle lol. Remember folks if your dogs only outdoor experience is a trip to the park every once in a while they will not know how t...

Re: bug out bicycle?

If it comes down to it I know I can cover some serious miles with my Craigslist bike i figure worst case scenario the bike makes a good scout get around. It will be on the list of things loaded onto the BOV.

Check the link in my sig for the buildup thread.

Ranger was specifically picked because he would be an asset in a crisis situation. He's a hunter and force multiplier. He can travel long distances at speed, can handle lack of water and food, extra thick foot pads for rough terrain and can handle extremes in temperature. http://i273.photobucket.co...

Re: Is Your Significant Other On-Board?

After a recent hospital stay that put a serious dent in our one income my wife has made a complete about face when it comes to our preps. Re: Is this a dog print?

Looks like a big tom bobcat pretty short toe to pad, no claws showing, and not too deep so nothing over probably 35 40 lbs. Just my opinion probably using the trail instead of breaking fresh snow to travel.
