Re: Awkard moments or negative responses while using your ED
Today, lunchtime is 19:00. I garbed a can of chili, pulled out my P-38. And one of the day-shift dispatchers, as she was leaving, dam near loses it. She started off with, "Why do you have a can opener on your key chain?" I stop, look at her, and say "so I can eat my lunch." From directly behind me l...

Re: Motorcycle Bail Out- Proof of Concept
I haven't seen that building in years. 1990 is a long time ago. I went to Red Stone for AIT. Have the made a determination as to what the Haz-Mat was? You didn't see it then either. It was not built until 2011. Nothing has been released yet. The news last night stated that "an unknown female contra...

Re: Motorcycle Bail Out- Proof of Concept
That's some serious cabbage for the trike. You gain carrying capacity and give up maneuverability. For my purposes two wheels are better. If I were headed to say California the trike would be near ideal. You can see a small number of the first responder vehicles filling the area near the building h...

You can buy them from any "class 8" truck dealer. Kenworth, Peterbuilt, Mack, or Volvo. Also, look around your local junk yards. You may be able to get one, and have it recovered.

Looking at the way your hitch is designed, I don't think it will be able to handle more than 500 lbs tongue weight. And maybe no more that 2,000 lbs total load. Unless you beef it up with some more steel at a 45 deg angle.

Re: WWII Soviet Steel Helmet vs SKS & Mosin Nagant
Cool. What about pistol rounds? Iwould be interested to 9 and 45 up against a similar helmet. Off camera we shot it with a 38 special, 32 auto and birdshot plus buck shot. If the video gets enough attention I'll order another helmet and do a similar test. Unfortunately I don't have a 9mm or a 45......

I have an old "Band-aid" tin from my childhood that I still use to do this. I learned it in boy scouts. It never occurred to me to use the stove, I guess i learn something every day. Thanks.

Re: What have you SOLD since the CT shootings?
I have a can of 7mm rifle ammo that was given to me 10-sometingh years ago. How much per round should I sell it for? Depends, are we talking about 7mm-08, 7mm Rem Mag, 7mm Mauser, 7mm WSM? I don't have much experience with most of those, but i consider anytime i can find 7mm Rem Mag for less than $...

Re: Bank Run in Cyprus: Who's Next?
Banks are now closed until next week? Wow! That's quite a long time for people to not be able to get a hold of any money. In the meantime, has this given anyone any ideas to change or add to their preps? (Like adding some extra food, gas or cash to their stash?) Not that I feel we will suffer anyth...

Re: Today I planted Canna Lilly (Canna Edulis) as a stealth
To extend my edible landscaping (aka "stealth crops"), today I planted 100 seeds of what is commonly called Canna Lilly, I planted the (original, non-ornamental) Canna Edulis. Its in a border along my back yard fence. They can grow up to 8 feet high and with a rhizome tuber about as long as an adul...

The highlight of my week was getting the awesome task of teaching/instructing our clients how to wash their junk. Not just men, but women also. Just get more insurance. The insurance company will make it right.
We don't need to do that stuff. If something happens, (insert someone else here) will come and take care of it.
I here that from my relatives, all the time.

Re: This Person Won't Stop Texting Me
If I receive calls during the time I am asleep (I work the mid and graveyard shift), I answer with "OK, I am awake now. Who is dead? And how do you want it cleaned up?" If the person on the other end knows me, they laugh and tell me what is wrong. If it is someone I don't know, most of the time they...
