Re: Pistols as primary

I should point out that I posted in this particular category for a simple reason. This is the initial prepping section. For those just getting started it's a lot cheaper and in many cases easier to start with a pistol. It's not the perfect plan for everyone but it's a good initial plan. Sent from my...

My BOV

Any one have suggestions on a gear load out for my truck. I'm thinking 3 days worth of supplies. I currently have a soft non locking cover on my truck bed.

Re: Sleeping bag suggestion

I have a decent sized truck. So I could actually sleep in the back with the seat folded up. I'd like to have 3 days worth of basic gear in my truck that I could use in conjunction with my GHB. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160321/d50ea45cf892df5c4b43362e36caedd7.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tap...

Re: Sleeping bag suggestion

I have an sol escape that I keep in my GHB. However other than this last year the winters have been pretty brutal up here. Lots of roads shut down due to serious accidents.

Sleeping bag suggestion

I am considering a 4 piece modular sleep system. It served me well in the army. I know it's heavy but this would be stored in my truck. Currently in my BOB is a Koppen Viggo T40 that I got from dicks sporting goods.

Streamlight sidewinder compact ii

Alright short review. As many know streamlight makes quality tactical lights that use AA and AAA as well as cr123 batteries. The sidewinder compact ii is the first of my knowledge to be able to accept all 3. From what I found there is not a sportsman's model that has green, red and blue and no IR. T...

I switch between streamlight microstream and Protac 1AA regularly depending on situation. Sometimes both. The microstream fits neatly in the elastic on the leatherman s...

Re: My current EDC and GHB setups

Personally I prefer benchmade mini griptilians but we all have preferences. I am curious on the belt as I've never owned one. I'll have to see if anyone I know has one I can try. As far as flashlights I'm a streamlight kind of guy Protac 1AA all the way. I like the ten tap program option. But again ...

Re: Revised edc

I carry the mag in my pocket. The belt is a stiff leather belt that was a gift. There is no sag in it from the additional weight. I used to carry a leatherman surge to keep things better balanced but I've found that I enjoy the wave much better.
