Re: WHo makes a decent Mac 10 clone sa?

I love my MPA 9mm. I have quite a few pricey firearms, but that ghetto-tastic piece of folded sheet metal is my favorite to shoot. I've shot it out to about 200 yards and banged steel.

If you know how many you have, you don't have enough.

Re: Higonokami Japanese Folder

I've got one with a very nice handmade damascus blade. Obviously I don't use it for work, but you can buy "work grade" ones fairly inexpensively. I think like 15 bucks or so. Mine is stupid sharp and I think it is a very beautiful knife that feels great in the hand. They are a traditional working ma...

Re: water container prep

I just found out about an interesting product called the water bob. its basically a liner that you can use to keep fresh water in your bathtub. It probably has limited use unless you know about a disaster beforehand like a storm or hurricane. but I think its still neat.

Re: quick bov security upgrades on the cheap

I second not putting that stuff on your windows. If someone does a smash and grab on your car it might cost you a couple bucks in stolen stuff and replacement windows. But if you get in some kind of wreck and it's harder for you or your family to escape a vehicle that could be very dangerous. Anothe...

Re: M1A Squad Scout

One thing I forgot to add; I carry 4 mags in my rig, but I also carry ammo loaded on stripper clips in the side bags. A lot of people overlook the fact that the M1a has a built in stripper clip guide in the top of the receiver and you can reload the mags while they are in the gun.

This is the rig I rock for my M1a and my SOCOM. Each of those pouches will hold 2 M1 mags.
I really like the look of those BAR belts, and for that price I will probably have to pick one up

I would like to sink some money into my FJ and get a milsurp trailer for it. That or an armored diesel suburban.

Re: liquor in the gas tank?

Yeah, that's why I was wondering. Would it be the kind of thing that might get me a few more miles, or would it dilute the gas so much that I would get terrible mileage and only be able to go as far as I would have if I hadn't added it.

liquor in the gas tank?

So just a hypothetical question here that I have been wondering about. Let's say due to some sort of disaster I had to get out of town like right now. Not much of any warning and due to the fact that everyone in town is bugging out there is no gas available. Could I empty out the liquor cabinet abd ...

Re: surefire hi-cap mags

I like the fact that Surefire made these, lets be honest a 100 round magazine is cool. But I think they are just too expensive. You can buy a C products 40 rounder with the improved follower for like 15 bucks. I have had no problems with these mags 30 bucks you have 80 rounds at your disposal if you...

Re: thoughts on some Kershaws?

I have a junkyard dog and I love it. It's my EDC at work and off duty. I bought my wife a kershaw blur tanto and it's her EDC. I bought my brother the junkyard dog that has the Air Force logo on it. I think they are extremely well made and well designed knives and they represent a good value at thei...

Re: 13 things (and more) a burglar won't tell you

The wasp spray is probably bad advice. It clearly states on the can that it is a crime to use that product in a manner other than what it is intended for. The companies that make OC make some pretty good products these days that can shoot just as far as those wasp sprays can. As far as the other sta...

Re: Fix-a-flat

I had an old dirt bike once that I had to change the tire on. Well we pulled the tire off the rim and there was this giant flaky corroded mass of aluminum on the rim. The only thing we could figure was that at some point someone used some fix a flat and it reacted with the aluminum in the wheel and ...
