Re: Wuhan Coronavirus Thread
Hi, it's your friendly neighbourhood Shanghai resident here. I haven't posted anything for years but I felt it might be time to just point out a few things. Although I'm not in Wuhan, I am in Shanghai which is currently in a level of lockdown. We need passes to leave/enter the compounds we live in,...

Last week I fast forwarded through every scene that didn't include nick or strand
This week I sat there and fast forwarded the entire show.
Containment is, at this point, much better than this shit-show.
I am out.

All well and good when fighting opponents who will see your phalanx and then see a bunch of their comrades die and then say 'well fuck that for a game of soldiers, I'm off'

No shortage of vehicles, shame they didn't think to line them up around a hundred yards apart and set off the car alarms/horns in a chain to draw off the walkers.

Not going to comment too far but I will say that it's never a good sign when I put on a show, and find myself ignoring it and reading a book while it's on.

I wouldn't worry about it, I post here so infrequently I hardly recognise most of the names popping up in threads now.

I theorise there's gonna be a huge herd take out the walls and kill a bunch of non team-shit-magnet, including but not limited to the architect, at that point deanna will realise she's essentially useless at apocalypse politics, and hand over the reigns to rick. With regards to porch dick and some s...

A bayonet is not only fairly a common weapon in America, but also a very practical weapon for the world of TWD. Whether it is some more elderly form like a spike bayonet or more a more modern form of bayonet such as a general purpose combat knife. A Chinese SKS with its folding mount spike bayonet ...

and yet, still with the falling skies. At least this show had a sense of continuity, and a storyline that wasn't *completely* all over the place. I grew to enjoy season two after google guy got infested with nano's and then his wife turned into a crazy killer cyborgian type thing. you gotta watch it...

Re: Fox's new reality show Utopia
I had no idea what the show was about, living where I do I don't get to keep up with current stuff. However I thought it was a remake of the amazing channel 4 (UK TV) oddball dystopian fiction series of the same name. Watched approximately five seconds of the intro and turned it off. I gather it's e...

I don't know, surely fire exists because fire stations naturally occur, as do police stations - ergo crime exists.
If there wasn't a zombie squad, it follows zombies wouldn't exist either.
Causal reductionism anyone?

Thing is, the more things you add, the more you might as well use an altoids tin or something. In my opinion the size ratio of a tiny survival kit shouldn't be more than the size of a regular size wallet anyway, so I sort of fail to see the logic to be honest

No, we do not talk about scavenging unless you mean living off the land in a traditional woodsman style. Scavenging does not always necessarily equal looting, but welcome to the internet where people make wild assumptions every day. If you legally own it, talk about using it is fine, but if you do n...
