Re: show off your remington 870 12ga
No paperwork or tax stamp for Canadians. Only restriction we have is the overall length cannot be shorter than 18 inches when fully collapsed or folded (some shotguns with a 12" barrel would require a stock, but the 870 could be a PGO). I wouldn't have bothered with the second barrel if it weren't ...

Re: show off your remington 870 12ga
Very cool 12"! We can get those here with no paperwork(unsure about you guys), although the barrel ring is in a different spot, meaning it's unable to have regular barrels swap onto it, which is a shame! Otherwise I would have bought one and a few extra barrels. Yeah, I wasn't sure about the shot si...

Re: show off your remington 870 12ga
Cheers for the feedback. I usually wear gloves, but might try it without to see what happens. The only thing I found playing around with it at home was the slide-release button got a little further away, so gotta get used to that!

Mine's 5+1 standard? Getting a +2 extension for it soon.
That's with 2 3/4" shells.

Re: Need Spacesaver cup, in Australia.
I'm in NZ mate, feel the pain on the shipping! Amazon usually has terrible shipping costs getting stuff to me, so I don't use it anymore. You might have lucked out there, though!
I've got the GSI Glacier Cup, and it works a treat. They all look much-of-a-muchness to me! Haha.

Re: Bug Out Goggles??
Thanks for the input, guys! Couldn't find any skydiving goggles that looked like what I was after. Ended up going with a pair of ESS V12 Advancers, with all the different lenses, hard cases, straps, etc. Got a decent price on a pair shipped from the UK brand new, so now just have to wait for them to...

Re: Bug Out Goggles??
I've been burning too much brain power on this since my last post and I've come to the conclusion that you really need to find somebody local who can help you check them all out. I've worn lots of eye protection over the past many years and I've never had a choice as to which one I got, so you're a...

Re: Bug Out Goggles??
@Dedpool; I can't seem to find any of those that will ship to NZ, which sucks! :( @Jakecwu; Nothing there really tickles my fancy, I'm afraid, but thanks for the input on the Advancers! @Doctorr; Yeah, my suspicion was also they're all much of a muchness. Means it'll probably just come down to price...

Re: Bug Out Goggles??
Found the ESS Advancer goggles, and also the Revision Bullet Ants.
All a similar price to the Wileys, anyone have any experience with either of these models?
Also saw some 'Bobster Bugeye' goggles. Cheap, look alright, but no mention about a protection rating. Again, any experience?
Cheers,
Sean.

Re: Bug Out Goggles??
Thanks for the replies, guys! Well, I've got some Wiley X PT-3s, so perhaps a similar protection rating to that? I want them for keeping sand/dust out of my eyes, so need a good seal, and able to take fragments of crap that might hit me in the face. I had a .22LR case split on me and managed to get ...

Bugger that for a joke, dude! Did well! Only thing I can think of now(from the safety of my couch lol), is you coulda given him a good slash with the machete. Like, a really good one. Cops could have picked him up in hospital when he went to get patched up. How much would a used .38spl revolver cost...

Bug Out Goggles??
Hey guys, I'm after some ballistic 'goggles'. Not wanting the full face things, but more something of a similar style to these: http://gadgetshow.channel5.com/upload/0002/1449/Wiley_X_SG-1_size_10.jpg Not sure if there was anything similar on the market, so I thought I'd consult you guys!! Re: Solutions To Mag-Limit Problem
We've got similar laws regarding semi-autos here in New Zealand. No Semi is allowed to have the following: -Flash Hider -Free Standing Pistol Grips -Folding or Telescopic Stock -Bayonet Lug Rimfires are limited to magazines up to 15 rounds only, and Centerfires up to 7 rounds only. It's perfectly le...

Re: Most Reliable Diesel Truck?
Aahhhhk, I get ya. Just to clarify, I don't hate them, they're still good trucks but I don't think they're the best. I'm also a big Series Land Rover fan, mainly due to their simplicity, although the old engines leave a bit to be desired, but a common re-power is a Nissan LD28 Diesel engine which ju...

Re: Most Reliable Diesel Truck?
Not sure why everyone is so excited about Hiluxes... The L series motors aren't that great, and reknowned for cracking heads for little reasons like not having a huge exhaust pipe to get rid of gasses quick enough, namely the 2L. 5L's are pretty good. A bit thirsty but actually pull very well. Front...

Re: Need help making a first aid kit.
Done any First Aid courses? Do you know how to use anything more than bandaids and gauze? I'd say stick with what you know how to use, maybe throw in some quikclot(or similar) and some anti-bacterial cream for your typical grazes. My step brother used to do a lot of Down-hilling, and had a few frien...
