I really want the FX Indy but I am having a hard time justifying how much it costs. :(

Re: Bicycle with a gas or electric motor

There are some nice little gadgets that many e bike makers put on their bikes that will limit the speed for street use. But with a little flip of a button will let you engage your max speed while off road. For example the Stealth Bomber has a 20mph US mode, and a 50 mph competition mode. Anyone who...

I'm quoting myself for emphasis.

And I suggest everyone check their local laws because in Austin, people can and have been stopped for bicycle infractions.

Re: Bicycle with a gas or electric motor

In the US you need to keep the top speed below 20 mph (I think) in order for it to legally remain a bicycle. Anything beyond that and it needs an operator's license (moped or motorcycle, depending)and possibly registration as a motor vehicle (check local listings - YMMV). I am pretty sure anything ...

Re: Armored cars/tanks

You can buy soviet armored troop transports really cheaply (shipping is usually more than the cost of the tank) here: http://www.mortarinvestments.eu/products/armoured-vehicles-4/btr-60-8" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I would expect replacement parts to be a real bitch. Of ...

Re: Armored cars/tanks

Check your local and state laws first. Tracked vehicles are generally not street legal and some states and localities have special requirements for armored vehicle registration. Oh, and play the lottery. You'll need to win it just to pay for the fuel you'll use. Fuel won't be a problem. I have a go...

Armored cars/tanks

Hey all, I'm thinking about buying a Ferret scout car. M8 Greyhound, or a T17 scout car in the near future (like 2 years or so). I have not seen any T17s or anything similar, but there are plenty of Ferrets around. I was wondering how many GSers had armored cars or tanks. I know that I would want an...

Re: !!! Build Finished! Super Compact, takedown AR pistol. P

On this build the back up irons are truly back up irons. Unless the ZPAW is truly upon us and there has been a EMP or batteries are all gone, I don't intend to use the irons for anything other than insurance/peace of mind. EMP won't kill an RDS. Cawwadooty got that wrong (it won't kill a dual-illum...

Re: !!! Build Finished! Super Compact, takedown AR pistol. P

That looks great!! Question.... Is that tube/rail the only one that you can use with the detachable barrel system? If so, what about having a couple holes drilled and threaded for screws, so you can attach a rail section on the tube for that front sight? Will the tube index the same every time? On ...

[quote="Doctorr Fabulous]There are drums too. The problem is you can't use either in a pistol, unless you count the ZIP gun where you hold the mag, or the aforementioned Ruger Charger, which didn't sell well enough to continue. I think they're pretty much used in everything they can between the Ame...

Re: firearm accessories that you want that are not on the ma

A factory high-capacity .22LR pistol. The Charger was the last one, AFAIK. Rimmed cartridges make hicap mags a tough proposition. Yup... But ruger already did the R&D for a reliable hi cap .22 mag (BX 25). I wish more manufacturers made platforms that could use it. There are drums too. The problem ...

Re: firearm accessories that you want that are not on the ma

See, I'd just be happy if they went back to putting iron sights on bolt guns... They do... And personally, for anything other than make a tacticool sniper rifle or benchrest gun, I'd want a pre-64 Winchester model 70 or an Enfield every time anyway. :) But they are almost never peep sights, having ...

Re: Looking for a .22 pistol

I have both an SR22 and MK III.

If you are planning on hunting, OP, go with the MK III.

This way if you don't get a clean hit, you can 100% blame yourself instead of the pistol.

The SR22 is super fun but more of a plinker. The MKIII is orders of magnitude more accurate.

Re: Super Compact, takedown AR pistol. Pics.

I feel like you lose zero every time you takedown and reassemble. But I'm not sure on that. I do like the concept very much though, nothing like an AR15 that comes out of nowhere. I zeroed this pistol at the range a few days ago. I took it apart, put it back together, and it held zero. This gels wi...

Ironically enough, I just found something new!

I forgot I had an over under 12 gauge...

I was moving a box and found a Stoeger defense over under...

I really have enough 12 gauges though so I'm thinking of gifting it to someone now for Christmas lol

IMHO, you're asking the wrong people. Try writing the tech branch for their latest opinion (in about a year or so).
