Re: ZS Hot or Not: Firearms edition (PICS AND LINKS ONLY)

Enjoy https://youtu.be/w3GKae33J7Q My son is 6 years old and he loves to shoot. I'm holding the MVG against the table to help him "barricade" and suck up some of the recoil. we're still working on getting the finger out of the trigger guard between strings of fire. His head is so small that he seems...

Re: Gen 4 Glock Handle Wrap

this is why i have gen 3's.

that being said if you run a the flame from a butane torch back and forth almost touching the grip then the rough nubbies will become rounded and smooth. i have done this for a friend and it worked like a charm.

I went ahead and picked up a gen3 26. haven't shot it yet bought I have shot a gen4 26 and three only real difference between the two is grip size/texture.

In the next month or so I'll be deciding between 17, 34 or 17L.

Re: MINI 14 FLAME WAR continued

I love my minis (older ranch and older standard) both with my stripper guides (the ranch guide makes the scope mount unusable but is still bitch'n). They work for what what they are but they are not my goto rifles. I have proper ARs built to proper spec and or bought from reputable manufactures. The...

glock 26 or 17?

I posted this on another forum but I'm wondering what the squad thinks. My wife and I have several matching firearms (minus some minor preferential touches). One of our sets is a "pair" of glock 19s. Hers is a factory gen3 nibx wearing Heinie straight eight slants with a duracoated blue titanium fra...

Re: Sig P250

Skip it and save a little more for almost ANYTHING else. I've shot 2 a compact 9 and a full size .45. The 9 ran through 100 rounds with out a hitch but wouldn't group even when benched (it was a first gen so maybe better now). The 45 couldn't get through a whole mag of Remington hollow points withou...

Re: Any opinions on sig 2022 in 9mm

I really like mine. I have the version with the night sights and threaded barrel, and it runs my 45acp can flawlessly. The only slight issue I had with it, is the slide release is ridiculously sensitive, and sits right where my thumb always went. I had to adjust my thumbs-forward shooting grip in o...

I have a couple fightlight setups (belt and chestrig) I love it but I don't suggest switching your setup around allot. The lightweight come at a comprimise ie. less sturdy than their other gear.

Re: Any opinions on sig 2022 in 9mm

I have a first generation 2340 blueline addition bought in 1998 or 99. The 2022 is the second gen. I had to replace the recoil spring at around 5000 rounds ( was having slide over base failures). Other than that it has been flawless. It is my goto sidearm, and I have a German p220, West German p220,...

http://www.everydaynodaysoff.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/HKbulletsBackwards.jpg I will say that everything I hear about HK points to the "No Compromise" mentality, whether it be refusing to compromise profit margins to hit a larger sales field or refusing to compromise from their traditional "fu...

Hmmm......I'm not happy with the way the DSA lower (rounded, smooth lines) matches up with the vltor upper (sharp angular lines). it'll work for now but I'm thinking the DSA lower is eventually going to be used on a mock dissy build (A1 upper, KAC ras, sully stock  ) that I'll be doing when th...

Re: Looking for AR-15 carbine optic input

G&R tactical has them in the larue mount for $632. Personally I'd $42 more and get the t1 in the Bobro mount. If they had them available when I bought mine I would have went with it over they've ADM mount. I have 3 Bobro scope mounts and they are stellar. In my opinion if Bobro is an option Bobro is...

AP H1 on a riser. If you want, you can either cut back your carry handle to make railspace and run a cowitness. If not, there are several types of compact BUIS, folding or otherwise, that will cowitness with the AP. I like the ADM mount because LaRue can suck my left nut, and there are a few great ...

Re: New scope - and my grouping sucks...WTF?!

I've heard old benchrest shooters saying that kind of thing for years and I have never seen anything that makes me understand the physical underpinnings that makes such a statement possible. The muzzle is a turbulent place. As the bullet goes deeper into the fairly homogenous fluid(air), this turbu...

old style Troy Industries 13" TRX VTAC Battle Rail

What's everyones thoughts on the old style clamp on version with proprietary barrel nut. Are they sturdy enough for hard use? I have an opportunity to pick a lightly used one for $100 the owner is switching to a larue rail. I went ahead and ordered a Daniel defense 18" s2w barrel for a build I'm wor...
