Re: Suggest a bow for BethDeath

BethDeath, Are you on Chemo ?.... If so you really need a bracer as the cocktail they're giving you probably messes with blood clotting as well as all the other grief it gives you Done with chemo, I just get herceptin every 3 weeks now (that only causes heart issues lol) and I'm 2 weeks into a 6 1/...

Re: Suggest a bow for BethDeath

Pick up an arm guard, it's cheap insurance against a hematoma on your fore-arm while learning your release - also don't lock out your bow arm, it should be slightly bent - when you lock out your arm, your elbow will rotate in, exposing your meaty forearm to the string follow. ^ Yeah, I figured that...

Re: Suggest a bow for BethDeath

Thanks for the tips! I'll look into getting a bracer next. It took me awhile, but after I felt more comfortable I was getting maybe 5 out of the 8 arrows in the target. My fingers started to hurt pretty bad and I had to quit for the day,I thought about putting some medical tape around my fingers to ...

Re: Suggest a bow for BethDeath

Beth, you're awful close to a nationally respected shop, Lancaster Archery (http://www.lancasterarchery.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;). My advice would be to drop in and shoot some of your options. I don't know if they carry Sage off-hand, but I have found their pro-staff to b...

Re: Suggest a bow for BethDeath

Thanks for all the support and great replies. The Snake is the only thing in my price range right now, so the snake it is! After I play with it a bit, and save up some money I will move up to that Samick Sage. :)

So, I'm sure most of you know that I'm fighting the cancer beast right now, and I've had to change some things in my life..like giving up roller derby. I have a port a cath on my left side that does not want to get slammed, and I had my right tit chopped off along with some muscle shaved (mastectomy...

Re: West Virginia, Bridgeport info?

Thanks for the info. I've been reading about it and it seems like a nice place. Very rural, but that's not a bad thing. It's about 4 1/2 hours from where we live now, so we will still be close enough to family. I tried looking on craigslist and doing google searches for rental homes in the area and ...
