Re: Cyber Sabotage Risk to Power Facilities

I design and install these systems for a living, and I'm conflicted on how much of a problem this could be. On the one hand, there are huge vulnerabilities to cyber attack. This is mostly because all of the crap that the IT security guys want us to do is over the top annoying and would make the pla...

Re: Eberlestock v69 - My Bug Out Bag *Pic Heavy*

Insinuating that I am foolish enough to walk through Chicago with a rifle in condition 1 slung over my shoulder: not cool. Unless law enforcement begins stopping civilians to search their bags absent probable cause, I think I'll be just fine. I don't think he at all insinuated that you were a fool....

Looking for input on the FNAR .308

Does anyone have an FNAR in .308 or has anyone shot one and have strong feelings about it? I see them around all the time and normally they don't catch my eye, but, lately, I have been reading up on them. It's starting to make my gun peener wiggle a bit so I might start saving up to see about acquir...

Re: RDS and BUIS: To Sandwich? To Co-witness? (PIC HEAVY)

I run flip up sights, but I always keep them up. I don't want to have to worry with fiddling to get them up in a pinch. I plan on getting fixed sights from here on out. As far as the sandwich thing.... that's just too goofy for me. I think it was already said, but if it ain't broke don't fix it. Tra...

Are you actualy going sbr under nfa for a 14.5 or are you just trolling? I believe your trolling as you are supposedly building a 1.5 k rifle on a 14.5 barreo with a middy system. You dont seem to know the gear tour talkin about Everything I have to say about this post has pretty much already been ...

Re: TS Issac, 2012 season

I'm still above water! Baton Rouge got a ton of rain and some good gusts up to 60mph or so. Lots of down trees and outages, but I was fine. Myself and 12 other guys centralized to one house with a generator and tons of food and booze. We played Halo 3 system link through the storm via the generator ...

Re: TS Issac, 2012 season

I'm getting really tired of every headline: "Issac... Katrina number 2?" and the murmur around campus of Issac being the next Katrina and what not.

Damn news agencies... hoping for LA to get annihilated again so they get a good story.

Re: TS Issac, 2012 season

Well crap. This was totally off my radar when I checked the path yesterday and now it's projected to hit BR much like Gustav did. I'm prepared. My friend's have a gennie at their house, I have plenty of food and water. I'll head over there with my stuff and we'll drink and play video games through t...

Re: Magazines; To Load or Not?

If you are prepping your mags for bugging out, keep them loaded. I am not familiar with Connecticut state law but most places have no restrictions on what you do with guns/ammo in your home in the US (for those of you that will nitpick and point out Illinois and Cali, etc... see word: MOST). It's be...
