Re: North American Gazetteer Sets

Good questions...

The physical books, already have enough digital navigation materials.

I am looking to put them together as full sets, pricing to be determined (but much better than buying them 1 at a time)

North American Gazetteer Sets

So, I am looking to put together full sets of the Delorme books for all states/provinces in NA. Realized I already had a handful of them, and figured a full set would be a great addition to my library.

If there is interest, I could possible put together a few additional sets.

Help me find...

Some time ago, there was this terrific leather kit posted here attached to a large leather sheath (machete size).

I have searched and searched, but cannot find it anywhere.

Re: Vehicle Headrest Storage

I don't want a bunch of items hanging from the headrest, my goal is for them to blend in until needed. I also don't want my five kids messing with them. There are a number of manufacturers which install dvd systems into aftermarket headrests. I am most concerned about it coming loose, so employing a...

Re: Vehicle Headrest Storage

The idea is to place a container into a similar location as a DVD screen would be, which should not affect the safety of the headrest.

Vehicle Headrest Storage

Each person in a vehicle has a headrest, so I thought it would be interesting to building a gethome kit into each headrest.

I search google to see if someone had done it, or at the very minimum had modified a headrest to use as storage.

Anyone ever seen this done or want to give it a shot?

Re: Android bug out app recommendations?

We build apps, maybe this could be a fun side project. Run offline. - many apps already work without data connections (but that is changing) GPS Mapping. - Google Maps can be downloaded for offline use, but GPS may not work in a PAW Include all the literature you could find on bugging out or PAW's....

Don't buy new gear for a trip without testing it! Locals love it when they see people coming to help with all new gear worth more than a years wages. Try to blend in a bit...I suggest you go to the thrift store of your choice and buy stuff you can leave behind. DEET and a bug net will be your best f...

Re: UNHCR\Red Cross spec tarps?

they are heavy, stand up to UV. There is a metal mess embedded in some as well.

We used them next to UN shelter tarps in Haiti, billboard tarps last much longer.

Bear Bells - sound does not travel well in wooded or windy areas... Bear Spray - works very well...just don't spray yourself...(experienced both) Firearm - try hitting a charging bear with a kill shot as it covers 30 yards in 3 seconds (not many can do this) When I was guiding, we carried spray...an...
