Re: The best polar rifle ever

AFAIK, anything will work in the cold as long as you´re smart enough NOT to put lube on it..... Now i´ve never been in that environment myself but for all i know, there´s 2 Tricks to it: First, you don´t put lube on it or you use something that will work in the cold and use very small amounts of it....

Re: *Infected 2013* Full Movie on youtube

The blonde guy with the chin beard in the opening scene reminded me of you Taiter Raider, IIRC you had an Avatar once with colored hair and beard and when i saw that guy i was all like "damn, that´s Taiter Raider!!".

Or maybe i´m an idiot and i´m thinking of someone else....? :ohdear:

Re: How would you give away a TV?

One surefire way to attract all the wrong folk is giving it away for free. (unless you give it away to friends/known decent People) Put a note up in your appartment building "Selling good working TV for 50$ + Picture". If someone Shows up who Needs a 50$ TV, you can still give it to them for free. T...

Re: Slingshot Channel Firearms Excursion

Ok. So i have some mighty misunderstanding of US firearms laws.... I will readily admit that. Shame on me! it´s what i´ve gathered from various message boards.... The whole upper/lower bit only applies to certain firearms, and of those it does, it varies by firearm. That´s one thing that trips me th...

Re: Slingshot Channel Firearms Excursion

I´m positive that you will heed all warnings expressed Joerg. However, i want to point out: The hole for the firing pin is not drilled, and it is not so easy to do that. It must be JUST at the right place. Furthermore, the bolt face needs to be made (from steel or so) and somehow attached to the woo...

Re: Slingshot Channel Firearms Excursion

Frank: Look again. I said "without machining." That wodden toy with a hex bolt stick in one end cannot be made to fire as it is without drilling holes. Just like an 80% lower. He can't attach a pre-made barrel and fire it, because a pre-made barrel doesn't exist. Again, by your logic the 2x4 next t...

Re: Slingshot Channel Firearms Excursion

The thing is as ready as I can take it without breaking German law. But you´d be breaking US law if you brought that to the USA without the right paperwork. Means, the "barrel" isn't drilled (so it is just a bolt at this point), the breech face isn't installed, the firing pin isn't installed and th...

Re: Is there any more gun that I "Need"?

Personally, i´d concentrate on the probably easier to get mags (thinking one spare browning mag, not a very pressing issue at all, just in case. Spare 4-5rd hunting mags on many guns are usually expensive though...) Otherwise, i´d browse brownells for some spare parts for your guns. Springs, firing ...

Truth being told: If i would HAVE to buy a Kinect system that i neither need, nor want along with a gaming console.... the brutal truth is that i will simply not buy it. I´m not going to wave my arms around like a tard to interact with anything. That´s what goddamn remotes and controllers are for. P...

Re: Slingshot Channel Firearms Excursion

There are shotgun shells available for almost every handgun caliber though, including .22. Could be the reason most people who build homemade pistols in the US strongly suggest to put rifling in there, especially if you're gonna post in on the net. It may sound silly, but i would'nt want to be the t...

Re: Slingshot Channel Firearms Excursion

that would most likely be enough.

I've certainly seen it done before with very shallow rifling.

However, rifling wasn't mentioned in any shape, way or form before your post.... so i thought it would be prudent to explain what it will be without rifling...

Re: Slingshot Channel Firearms Excursion

Smoothbore barreled gun that doesn't meet the required OAL and barrel lenght to be considered a shotgun.

So with a Stock, it'd be a SBS and without one, an AOW.

pics or numbers, preferably both, i am asking because as far as post-SHTF, i am a gun skeptic. particularly on the fact that anyone could have enough ammo to last them a year or more. Oh, so starting out with zero rounds and no guns in the first place is way better then to eventually run out..... w...

While i don´t think however built that 10 Million $ shelter will live there, i think the guy is simply prepping for something really big. Well they are saying the kinect is an integral part of the system. It comes on and turns on your xbox when you enter a room. Or the movie your watching will pause when you get up and walk to the bathroom/kitchen/etc. So if you tape over it, it might stop the xbox from working at all. Get an error m...

Of course they have their place, no dout about that and i've never meant to rule them out completely.

Speak for yourself and act accordingly. If you feel like going up close to stab/behead or club them to dead or loose one 3$ arrow per ghoul... have fun. I for one, would rather shoot them from 30 yards away with a .22 (ideally, with a suppressor attached) and in general, keep them as far away from m...

Re: "Survival" Rifles?

I´ve been thinking about SBR-ing my Rem. 572 Fieldmaster (tube fed, pump action) .22 and putting a folding stock on lately. That would make for a handy little package. And then there´s the PAK rifle, which shouldn´t go unmentioned: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PM6Q7m-HFj4 http://www.youtube.com/wa...
