I've never been to Appleseeds, but since my name is on a NRA National Record, I am Master Palma and Expert Service Rifle, I have a feeling I'd be ok.

Oh, and I have to add... it's probably the single coolest firearm I've seen in the shop. It's funny, of all the things I've gotten hands on, that one still makes me the most envious. But..... is it authentic ? It's very pretty, I've toyed with the idea as well. All I can say is I hope Azrael the be...

Very nice, I look forward to hearing about how she preforms. And as a side note: the Tubb's Final Finish kit isn't really necessary. If you do normal break-in procedures she will shoot just fine. I've never seen a rifle benefit from the Final Finish system, and that's coming from several years of co...

Good on ya though, the old SMLEs are great rifles, I have a No 4 Mk 1 that I love to death, but shit is it expensive to feed.

Re: M1918 Browning Automatic Rifle question

If the mark you're talking about is a dent on the neck of the case, then yes. I seem to recall malformed cases coming out of an antique BAR, because they eject with such force, the neck hits the side of the rifle and dents.

Re: Long range AR build

Nice. Just for kicks I'd see how 75gr Amax's compare to the 77gr Sierra's. 77gr SMKs are the gold standard in highpower for a reason. I've seen AMax bullets shoot well, but not nearly as well as SMKs do. And that rifle is quite purdy. You should try the "tactical rifle" matches if your club hosts a...

Re: I want to build a 600-800yrd AR. What caliber?

If you are really looking for an AR style rifle for 600-800 yards, i'd look at the .338 lapua AR's i've seen around... Federal Gold medal match 250gr - 2351 @ 600 (yes that 2,351 ft.lbs), 1812 @ 800, 1372 @ 1000. THIS is the only .338 Lapua AR I'm aware of. And for 600-800 yards the actual bullet i...

In lieu of dog tags (great idea, but at $800-$2000 a pop, that's a no-go) On that note, just an idea, we could get dog tag blanks and have people write what they want on them, and use the "old fashioned" punch method. A full set of alphanumeric characters is only like $30, and blanks are pretty che...

Re: Ruger 10/22 Models? Hogue?

I'm looking at buying a 10/22 soon. It will mostly just be using it for target shooting and I kind of want to be able to throw it in my pack while hiking/camping. I have my eye on the model that comes with the Hogue stock already but I noticed the barrel length is only 34" (which I'm not opposed to...

The only question I have is, why isn't your BUIS all the way to the rear on the top rail? If it is comfortable to you, thats awesome, but I thought the general rule was keeping front and rear sight as far apart as possible, to make it work best . Drunk posting, so I can't tell you the exact term fo...
