Re: Fallout 4......
There's a company named Modiphius that's making a Fallout tabletop wargaming game. https://www.nerdmuch.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/boardgame24april2017127.jpg http://www.modiphius.com/fallout.html I'm super excited, as I like miniatures games to start with. It sounds like they're going to focus...

Re: Firearms Chat 4: #pewpewlife
I kind of want to see a 10mm lever gun. Although I wonder if the lever action would be strong enough to handle the pressures put out by the 10mm round. I also still want a .500 S&W magnum lever gun, but almost no one is making a production one. The only ones I've seen are all custom jobs and are wa...

Re: Firearms Chat 4: #pewpewlife
So what's the going choice for glock .22 conversions these days? Advantage arms still a go to? Tactical Solutions would be my pick these days. Mind if I ask why? Just curious, not challenging your opinion. Reviewers online seem to give negative opinions of all conversion kits. Hey are all kinda fun...

Re: Firearms Chat 4: #pewpewlife
CLEO signoff is no longer required by ATF. As of June of last year, revision 41P, originally 41F changed the rules to now require that the CLEO copy be sent to your CLEO, but CLEO signature is no longer required. All that is required is that you send a copy to your CLEO so that they can send a noti...

School in the morning, work in the evening, sleep when I can. Only three, three and half more years to go. Yay. I too have some friends in jail right now. Got in on the Hybrid sale from Capitol Armory in time for my free AAC Cyclone, but too early for the rebate and store card. With luck I'll get th...

it still doesn't make any sence to me, but here is what the ATF said. emcean: This email is in response to your recent email to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Firearms Industry Programs Branch (FIPB). You are seeking information about a pistol grip shotgun with a four...

Re: Firearms Chat 3: #pewpewlife
Just out of curiosity, what are the problems with the 783 that make it not a great rifle ? Is it as bad or worse than the 770 ? It's supposed to slot in between the 770, which is utter shit, and the 700, which is adequate at best. It's a 700 but with cost-saving measures, so while not Taurus-bad it...

Re: Firearms Chat 3: #pewpewlife
Doc! Got a question for you- How hard would it be to modify a (.308 Win. / 7.62 NATO) Remington 750 and 783 to accept one of the following types of magazines: CETME / HK G3/41 AR-10 M14 Thanks! Assuming you aren't a machinist capable and experienced in turning out chassis systems, it will be imposs...

Re: HELP: advice on bolt action carbines/scout rifles
Your argument that gunmakers today have access to better materials which should make for better guns is 100 % right. It should make for better guns, it just doesn't always. If you want a more accurate gun then pick a modern rifle. If you want a lighter gun pick a modern rifle, If you want a more dur...

Re: HELP: advice on bolt action carbines/scout rifles
If you look at the Enfield, all that wood, other than the actual part bolted to the action, is just hanging on the barrel. Do you really think its used to hold the barrel stiff? They didn't know about barrel whip back then. They just put that much wood on it out of tradition. the same reason they u...

Re: HELP: advice on bolt action carbines/scout rifles
I don't know about the Australian laws. If they cant have a lever gun, that sucks. : we can own lever action guns (just not the adler apparently, but that's a shipping container worth of arguments, politics and worms) I'm looking at bolt action because that's what I have most experience with, in ad...

Re: HELP: advice on bolt action carbines/scout rifles
I didn't read the whole thread, and I didn't realize I was stepping into the middle of a debate. The OP expressed interest in 7.62x54R, hence the suggestion of the Mosin carbine. I don't think anyone can reasonably argue that the older guns are superior to the newer ones based on modern metallurgy ...

Re: HELP: advice on bolt action carbines/scout rifles
I disagree with your assertion that freefloated barrels make guns more fragile. The barrels on older milsurp rifles tend to be thin and suffer barrel whip if not tightly supported by the stock and/or barrel bands. All the rifles I pointed out have barrels that are supported by the stock and/or barr...

Re: HELP: advice on bolt action carbines/scout rifles
Marlin 336cs Australia, last i checked, does not allow lever-action rifles. I disagree with your assertion that freefloated barrels make guns more fragile. The barrels on older milsurp rifles tend to be thin and suffer barrel whip if not tightly supported by the stock and/or barrel bands. A modern ...
