Re: My girlfriend and I are Joining the miltary
@OP, Long distance relationships don't work. Been there, done it. Twice. Same result. The army and your age isn't going to help either. I know how it is to be young and in love, I really wish you all the best. I'd advise however, that you prepare for disappointment. oh, and  ya i know, Vegas ...

Re: My girlfriend and I are Joining the miltary
I appreciate your guys input, to the naysayers I know love is blind, but were trying to look at this realistically by respecting each others goals. but hey were young and supposed to do things that the more experienced folks look down on. Hannibal, we've talked about it a lot, She understands but al...

if your willing to throw down the fenix LD01 is a whole lotta light for 1xaaa i believe 60 lumens max and has been very durable, also i prefer the rotating bezel for turn on because its near impossible to accidentally turn it on

Re: Show off your Low Profile Battle Gear!
This rig is meant to be discreet like the rest of my set up designed not to draw attention. In my opinion it is also a good balance between damn this is heavy ...and...oh shit... i think i am going to need another magazine. And yes i made it my self. http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h23/unslung/mp...

Re: Sheddi's EDC / GHB
Pretty good looking EDC Sheddi one thing I would add is more food, you said you only live 8 miles from home but i would suggest adding more food in case you have to take a long detour or if you were for some reason stranded at the workplace for an extended period of time. i carry a couple 1200 calor...

What kind of environment will you be bugging out to? The blankets are a good start but if your in a cold weather climate i would suggest a subzero rated sleeping bag and a thick, wide therma-rest that's what i use when i go backpacking Also food, you seem to have plenty of water and no food. MRE's a...

as far as LED lights go . Plenty of AA models out there . Smaller , lighter , brighter , better throw , adjustable brightness levels on some models , no bulbs to burn out . Check out Fenix or Inova lights . Even a Nite Eyes LED drop in for the mini would be a huge improvement . Actually , did not s...

Re: strangest thing you have ever seen
Driving about 60 MPH on the freeway with heavy traffic and this guy in the lane to my left passes me at about 90 as he's speeding past a car to my far left in front of me merges over and has to swerve back. the speeding car jerks his wheel as well and starts spinning out of control. By some sort of ...

Re: Knife Sharpening Tools
I use the spyderco tri-angle sharp-maker. Best sharpening device I've ever used, to what jitterypillow said about over sharpening it does very little to blunter edges, i use it for finer work. Use the metal grinder to re-shape the angle if need be, smooth it out with sharpening steel, then use the f...

Re: What if a headshot doesn't do the job?
On the plus side, without a head, a zombie isn't going to be very effective. "Oh no, it's running in... a directon! It's run off that cliff! Oh no, I'm being poked at by a thing that can't tell where I am!" It's just not very terrifying, really. i agree with shrapnel, if their mutated enough to fun...
