Hey Welcome.
Quite a few from ND to WI. We had a few get together before this chapter thing started but there are a few of us who have been on the forum for awhile.
I'm in Moorhead Monday-Friday and The cities every weekend.

Re: Body armor: The chances of getting shot in unprotected a
Not all wounds to limbs require tourniquets. A compression bandage might be enough. People should get training to know when to use what. Also, with a CAT TQ and several others, there is an "easy" way and a "not so easy" way to apply them one handed. Again, training. And finally, which pocket is the...

Re: Value of military training?
As a Guard guy period, the Rifle Marksmanship you got in basic/ait is about as good as its going to get =/ Take it for what it is, and every year at Weapons qual enjoy the chance to practice fundamentals against pop ups! =) In all honesty in most of the Active Army, and even the better National Guar...

Re: Value of military training?
That's an awesome question. Yes. There are a lot of factors that contribute to how profecient you're going to get with your Primary weapons system. MOS, Unit assigned to, if you are Active or Reserve component. I was on a cool kid team in Iraq and did some pretty awesome CQB stuff (or SRM, Whatever ...

Yeah Dan well fine MAYBE IT IS.
I'm quite worried I wont be able rounds for my Streetfighter course in July I'm already registered for.
Not sure where I'm going to come up with extra rifle rounds.
Hopefully the market isn't as lame come spring.

They show up to anything here in state, shows shoots etc.
I won a COONAN hat as a doorprize once. Everyone from the shop is super awesome.
The fit on these is pretty sweet, and they are fun to shoot.

Maybe. Just maybe. I've already put a deposit on a VTAC streetfighter course in New Hampshire. But 2 courses in a summer couldn't hurt right? At the end of the day It all depends on how much of a dick my new S3 is and if I spend another summer in Ranger school or not. If Dan goes I'll go =P Anyone h...

Re: IV Saline/Ringers longevity
We used 2-3 year expired bags in Iraq regularly.
Hextend we required a memorandum from providers to use if it was expired but normal Saline it was just a matter of making sure we did a visual inspection of the bag before we initated fluids.

Raven concealment G19/TLR-1
I have a RCS- Phantom for a Glock 19 with TLR-1. It was molded for a threaded g19 but that's not a tension point so the holster still functions perfectly. 110$ish + waitlist new. Also have a double mag pouch. I think it was 60$? Both in FDE. I believe this will fit a g23 too. not sure on the mag pou...

Real world experiance downrange, perhaps? He was/is an "anti-armor bubba". I'm a former armor "bubba". This stuff is a huge chunk of what Uncle Sugar paid us to have professional knowlage about. Steel armor spalls when hit hard enough. Unless you are picking the rounds fired at you, anticipate your...

The Army's MCoE has moved primarily to targets that are either suspended by balloons or contain balloons inside of them.

Re: Firearm Instr. negligently shoots Asst.Inst.- NightCQB C
That makes a big difference, I've done rooms with two but the initial entry was always with 4. It is in fact the stack where I'm the most uncomfortable. Usually our instructors were above us too. (walkways above the house). Someone in another thread mentioned the Guy that got shot was dead, anyone h...

Re: Firearm Instr. negligently shoots Asst.Inst.- NightCQB C
I'm probably going to spend another 3 months at Ranger School as I'm trying to make it an annual thing. It all depends on when it is next year. But I'll try. I have a VTAC Street Fighter course at the end of July. It'll probably be the same weekend. On an effort to keep the train on the tracks. Did ...

Re: Firearm Instr. negligently shoots Asst.Inst.- NightCQB C
I wasn't attacking I was asking a question. I think the layman's medical instruction should consist of TQ application, NCD, Occlusive Dressings, and how to properly pack a wound cavity. You can throw in basic airway stuff like Kings and NPA's if you want, I wouldn't. I'm a firm believer IV therapy i...

Re: Firearm Instr. negligently shoots Asst.Inst.- NightCQB C
Shoot Houses I've done Shoot houses with both live fire and simunitions. Pros and Cons to both. I prefer live ammo for a few reasons. Mainly reliability of the weapon systems and the concussion. Gunfire indoors is craptastic, get used to it. Birdcages are craptistic in low light. It's almost like a...

Re: Parascope Urban Combat Sight: Clownshoes or Titties?
I'm going to say high probability of titties. There's some badass stuff you can do in an effort to minimize your silhouette while still putting accurate fire downrange. I'm actually thinking this might be the new best way to shoot Junkyard. I'm doing a VTAC street fighter course next June, and I'll ...

Bags Pouches and Nonsense oh my.
It’s about that that time of the year. The point in time in when I have gathered upon me all sorts of tactical nonsense. I do not need 8 backpacks and 6 holsters for every gun. Pouches 2x Coyote Brown Canteen pouches, these have mesh bottoms and were made by eagle for the USMC, some wear. 15$ each C...
