Bruce Cave - Pulaski County

Anyone familiar with this cave? It looks like I will have access to it and was wondering if anyone has ever been in it?

Also, I wasn't sure what forum to put this in, I figured this would be the most relevant, but feel free to move to wherever is deemed necessary.

Practical uses for tripwire?

So I went to the local Army Surplus store (I'm like a kid in a candy shop) and I picked up a couple spools of trip wire. I have absolutely no need for it, but for some reason I couldn't resist. Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone knows of any practical uses for the stuff.

Re: Thoughts on KC Daylighters; Or Suggest Another Brand...

They are illegal to use on the road because the lenses are smooth, not fluted like auto headlights. T his makes kc style lights extremely bright, and could cause temporary blindness to other drivers. The covers render them legal because they keep the light from operating. So you generally wire them...

Re: Thoughts on KC Daylighters; Or Suggest Another Brand...

I'm pretty sure it's everywhere, but I know definitely in IL it's illegal to have off-road lights mounted on top of the vehicle and not have covers on them. I found out the hard way on my Mazda by a state trooper there. I'm completely new to this particular subject, so let me ask a dumb question. W...

Re: Tribute to BACON!

First a little background, my wife is a small girl, 5'3, about 115 lbs. We drove through Wendy's the other day to grab a quick bite to eat, what does she get? The freakin Baconator. I swear that burger is bigger than her hands, but she put the whole thing down. Needless to say, she likes bacon as mu...

No, but I do run around and bash the targets with a skillet once I have run out of ammo.

I vote yes. It worked for Shaun just fine didn't it? Therefore we have definitive proof of its usefulness. Surely Hollywood wouldn't lead us astray would they?

I used some to fix a hockey helmet that was coming apart. It may have looked a little ghetto, but I don't care what you think of my helmet as I am cross-checking you into the boards.

Re: PREP FAILURE: THE WALL OF SHAME

I don't know if this is really prep failure, but I kept putting off emptying the pipes that in my workshop before winter. Well, I turned the water on the other day to the outside, and needless to say my workshop floor was soaked. More than one broken pipe in there. Luckily it is just cheap PVC.

Something is better than nothing I suppose. At least they are trying. At a minimum, you did at least get me to consider what I have in my truck. I think this weekend I will reevaluate what I have just to make sure its worthwhile.

I would think something like that would go over well in an area around the Gulf, or someplace that experiences frequent hurricanes and the like. I am going to go out on a limb here though, and guess that the majority of people who are smart enough to prepare, are also smart enough to shop around for...

I like it. Very compact for everything in contains. Also, I used to have one of those Gerber Paraframe knives as an EDC myself. I like it a lot, but for whatever reason I sold it.

Re: Metro 2033

I've played about an hour or so of this now, and I can't say I'm real impressed. It plays more like an interactive movie, with you just controlling cutscene firefights here and there. I also didn't care much for the voice acting. The game doesn't seem to do a real great job of explaining all of the ...
