Re: ammo brand loyalty
I've tried a box of Winchesters (government over runs) white box a friend gave me to use. He says the alphabet agencies use them as they are "bonded". They look like its been shelved for years though. The present day Defender PDX are identical in appearance and I gave it a shoot. I wouldn't pass the...

ammo brand loyalty
I've been absent for a good while, so "hello" again. Also been looking around in here and hoping to start a new conversation about ammo brand. Maybe you only have one gun or multiple firearms of sort in your collection, so do you all have brand loyalty or have a stock of different feed? For personal...

Re: What are YOU currently lusting after? (firearms related)
Recently acquired a surprisingly great condition used Ruger P94 DAO 9mm. Expecting a SW model 4043 also in DAO soon.
I'll retire my SIG P250 (40) in favor for Glock 22 for duty carry at work. Before long I may pick up Glock 21sf to compliment the 22.

Re: BUDGET 9MM: Ruger 9e vs Sig SP2022
I have neither models but had owned a Ruger 94 and currently have SIG P250 (both .40's). I have a 9 but prefer 40, as of the choices in question the 2022 has my vote.

Re: What duty-type handgun to buy?
Originally I carried a Ruger P944 for a bit. Good gun but now SIG P250 is my current duty carry. I am awaiting my Glock 22 gen3, maybe I'll qualify with that and start carrying. Ruger is a tank and sure felt like one too with sharp edges.

Re: How much training before concealed carrying?
That's a lot of money ^^^ Here in Vegas, its reasonable $98 with Metro PD (sheriff) good for 5 years as well. Sit and wait for 4 months to get your permit in the mail. Fortunately the class I attended was at no charge, but we had to pay for ammo (36 rounds I think it was) to qualify. Classes typical...

Got me bulk ammo from a neighboring store (okay it was a six mile drive). 250 rounds of 9's for $70. Not too expensive. Then there's a 2-day gun show coming at the end of month (may 31-june 1) *edit* Came back from range shooting and I've been looking over my target papers with playing cards taped t...

Lusting for my first .45 1911 GI, been looking at American Tactical Imports 4.25" 8+1 commander model priced at $450 in a local shop. Also there's a Gen 3 Glock 19 price $425 I'm eying on.

Stopped in a local gun shop and saw a Gen 3 Glock 19 priced $425, NIB. I am thinking of getting it for the price. Any input?
Re: Sig P250
I first bought my P250 full size .40 two years at $389 (contrast sights) brand new with two extra mags at $45 each. Trigger was a bit rigid but after few range visits it felt natural. It is easier than my Ruger P944 also in .40 and I feel I have better control with SIG. I shoot better, groupings are...
