Nice! So, is that just an empty bic lighter wrapped in duct tape with the metal casing taken off of the top? woods walkers way of going UL... take an empty bic. people try and come with 100 ways to "lock up" the the trigger on their bics so they will not end up with an empty one while out i...

Re: RIT Dye - ACU/DCU to Ranger Grean - CHEAP!

Count me in also, as I've also used RIT dye on a massive pile of DCU. It worked out fine. Not sure if I have any pics saved of it, but... a few years back I was inspired by posts from aa1pr and darkkside here. if you are a good sleuther, you'll find those. The only thing I have to say regarding the...

Re: RIT Dye - ACU/DCU to Ranger Grean - CHEAP!

moab - the item he did came out pretty good, with nice deep color and even coverage. pistol petes pack is a good example of a dye job done right. im still not a fan of green by itself on ACU, but as long as you like what the guy did to his ACU in the vid then thats all that matters. i say go for it....

i sewed this pouch up with white nylon purchased from jo-ann fabric. the nylon was snow white before dyeing. the nylon can be seen in one of the photos along with some duck cloth. a few simple steps can get you great results when dyeing nylon. http://i806.photobucket.com/albums/yy349/DARKSIDE351/IMG...

Re: RIT Dye - ACU/DCU to Ranger Grean - CHEAP!

Probably going to be trying to dye a chest rig and a pack using this method. Is the salt really necessary and do you just put it in the clean water without the dye in? Or do you put the salt in with the dye? Also anyone tried a charcoal grey? What color is your stuff now? I'd go with dark green rit...

i think a 1911 is a must have for any person who is into and owns guns... its a classic pistol and is very fun to shoot. a 1911 should NOT have a light/laser rail and SHOULD be in .45

this is just my opinion of coarse.
