Re: New build, 300 BLK questions
I think the two main advantages of poly barrels is getting more velocity and being easier to clean. Do you need any of those things in a 300 BLK build? I know it's easy to load even the heavy bullets supersonic (if you reload). In many guns more velocity is good, but with 300 BLK it's all about sta...

New build, 300 BLK questions
After reading about the 300 BLK, I'm deciding on an 8.5" barrel. This build is currently a pistol set up until its complete, and then a tax stamp will be sent out to SBR it. It will be suppressed, as my 7.62 YHM Phantom can will get its stamp before this pistol gets its SBR stamp. My question is thi...

Re: Looking for AR-15 carbine optic input
If you aren't going to run NV, which 99.99% of us won't, get the Aimpoint H1 as stated above, or the Eotech 512.
Both are identical to more expensive models sans NV.

Possibly more NFA trust. No grandfathering.
Prepare to bend over and take it, no lube. Executive order is trying to eliminating NFA trusts, and no one is grandfathered in.

Ah yeah. I think the PMR30 sucks, and is the worst gun in the world, so you should probably let me take it off your hands.

Re: Zombie Handguns
Why would you want to shoot anything larger than a .22 at the undead, when a head shot is already your only option? The .22 WMR out of that tiny PMR 30 barrel are clocking over 1000fps. I would think they would jelly a rotted brain very effectively. I would think a .17HMR would as well. So would no...

Why would you want to shoot anything larger than a .22 at the undead, when a head shot is already your only option? Because of this. If a headshot is my only option, I would use a 45. And I assume you know that velocity part of the equation when dealing with energy transfer. If a rabid dog, or any ...

Re: Zombie Handguns
I kick myself for not buying one when they first came out for $360. When the Gun panic started getting crazy they where going for $650, but now they seem to be settling in at around $450 to $500. I know they are no where near 100% reliable, but after the initial 200 round bread in, using CCI ammo, ...

Re: Medical advice on super-gluing cuts
Well, because steristrips wont stop bleeding like superglue ( or sutures) will. Steristrips are what you use to reinforce and protect an already treated wound closure. Also, for a fuller picture on the role of super glue in medicine and how that dovetails into its overall history, take a look at th...

Not sure where you live, and I may be telling you something you already know....but make sure a knife like that is legal to carry in your parts. Some places are ridiculously restricted for that kind of thing. Now onto the question, I have seen knives like that in the past, but they always sucked and...

Re: Medical advice on super-gluing cuts
I just had some pretty legit neck surgery, they threw Steri-Strips on after the stitches, and those bad boys held like a mother. Plus you could still bandage and clean the area periodically. Kind of off topic slightly, but why not go with those instead of super glue?

I think that is a fine choice. They are cool, I even think the ugly factor is awesome on these, just like AK's. That's an excellent choice for a pistol to take small game and defense to a lesser extent. The problem I've found is that every use requires a different tool, this will be excellent to stu...

Re: All purpose NFA questions thread
So I have money in hand and I'm heading into the shop today. I'm picking up a YHM Phantom 7.62 QD. Here's what makes me nervous.....the suppressor is on back order. I'm going in, throwing down my cash and waiting. Am I looking at 12 months or so do you all think before it is in hand? I know this is...
