Re: Shooting Glove Recommendations?

Thanks for setting me straight guys. That saves me so much money. I'll find some of the Mechanix locally so I can figure out what size I am, and hopefully order what I really want online!

Re: Shooting Glove Recommendations?

You've never seen a pair of Mecanix gloves? They aren't made specificlly for shooting. They were originally designed to be used by mechanics (go figure) to work on cars and it just so happens they work really good as shooting gloves too. No, most of the hardware stores around me have knockoffs of M...

Shooting Glove Recommendations?

I've been keeping an eye out for sales on good shooting gloves, and DVOR is having a sale right now...but it doesn't look like they have my size in the nicer of the gloves on sale. There are no shops around me that have good CQB/Shooter gloves for me to try out, so I'm hoping for some guidance from ...

WANTED: John Greco knives

Long story short, my friends got me a Greco Explorer camp knife for my 40th birthday last year, and I have another birthday fast approaching! I'm looking for another John Greco knife or hatchet, or even a Kukri to add to my camping gear. Please hit me up with what you have. I'd especially be interes...

Yeah, but with Wheel Weights disappearing, this is getting harder to do.

My bullet casting adventure!

Just some quick iPhone shots from last nights late night casting. I finally got the .308 mould I borrowed casting well. It only took a really good scrubbing with the degreaser. Apparently the owner had it glopped with oil, so it's spotless now. I think I need to work on my alloy more. I don't think ...

Roadside Assistance?

I did some searching, and saw mention of Roadside Assistance, but I've not seen a thread on it specifically. My likkle Scion is getting up over 110,000 miles, and I seem to be traveling more for work and for fun. I see a lot of threads on car bags, but what about just simple Roadside Assistance? Is ...

Re: ZS Hot or Not: Firearms edition (PICS AND LINKS ONLY)

My first Submission to the Hot or Not. This is my first shotgun, and it does everything I need it to. Benelli Super Nova Tactical with Ghost Rings. I added the Mesa side saddle that includes a rail, and Nordic magazine tube extension so it's now a 7+1. If Benelli barrels weren't so expensive (almost...

Re: Hammock Dilemma, Opinions Solicited

Lots of great info in this thread. For bigger/taller guys, the Warbonnet Blackbird or the Switchback from Tree To Trail Gear would be my choices. I have one of each. I also have several bugnet free hammocks, and I don't care for them unless I'm camping in the snow. Dual layer will protect you from m...

Peggy enjoyed trying to throw hawks. I remember doing it in the Boy Scouts and I got pretty decent. It sorta came back to me last weekend.
$8 shipping makes that a negative.

Looking for Cold Steel Hawks

I went to a Zombie Shoot at a local gun club, and learned how to throw hawks. My fiance was really interested in this, and was starting to get good. I'm looking to get some hawks, and they recommended the Cold Steel Norse, and Frontier Hawks. I saw them for sale somewhere for $18.99-$19.99, but I ca...

Re: Summer Mock Bugout Contest Entry Thread (winners announc

ZSC:020 is going on another bugout this weekend :D Since it's after Labor Day, and since the unseasonably cool temps over the last few days already have some trees in the area dropping their leaves, I'm going to ignore the calendar and consider this an honorary Autumn Mock Bugout ;) A winter outing...

Re: solar power for about $600

i wouldnt call 3 years long term, in a paw would you be screwed after 3 years? But three years gives you time to find more unused batteries, figure out a better means of constant power or just plain finding/learning ways to make alternate means of doing what you need electricity for. Basically, it ...

Re: Swamp Rat Rodent Waki

I almost bought one of these a while ago I loved the look and feel and my friend had one that I really liked , but they were like 440.00 new? Just wondering whats different on your model then the old ones? What's different is that mine has all the options (G10 and limited color), and the fact that ...
