Re: Opinions on these subcompacts
I like Glocks just fine, perfectly good pistol. I carry an XDM 45c, and my wife has the XD40sc (which was my gun). I've had zero failures of any sort with either gun. If it's comfortable for you to shoot and accurate, it really doesn't matter what anyone says. THAT SAID, I didn't dig the "look at my...

The holster's not my speed, but the review was good and I love the quilt!

I wear cargo pants, usually either my BCM or Magpul hat, a Suunto Core on a NATO strap and I carry a Maxped. Malaga in digital camo with morale patches. While most of it is fucntional I do it because I think it looks cool. I try not to be a "mall ninja" about things and make up wild scenarios about ...

Re: Help me pick a .45
I've been carrying an XDM 45 3.8 for a few weeks now. It's crazy accurate, feels good in the hand and carries great in my Galco King Tuk. I'm curious about the "Stay far away from XD" comment. In addition to my XDM I have an XD40SC that's awesome, also carries well and has never had an FTF or FTE in...

I don't hate HK's they're wonderful guns, I simply choose to oblige them and as a civilian not purchase them.

Re: RIA Match
Without doubt my RIA GI is the best $400 I've ever spent on a firearm related purchase. My 870 is a close second. I also had no idea that these were made on Colt machines and just makes me feel that much better about the gun. One other thing for those with the GI model, I had the stock grips on mine...

Re: WWYD If you had 6 acres and limited funds...
I'm semi-rural (East of DFW in TX) and while I'm sure the climate is different, man, I have wanted to be out "in the sticks" forever and my little 2 acre plot is a realization of a life's dream for me. You've got the backing of a family member which means that even if it goes to shit, you're gonna b...

Re: Vehicle holster that works
O my god I'm so scared now!!! I got a hammer I'll be ok.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk This seems unnecessarily snarky. In any event, I have been carrying my XD40 in my Jeep wedged between the passenger seat and the console in a Desantis pocket holster with the "grippy" texture stuff on the...

Re: Malfunction?... Or limp wrist???
For what it's worth my XD sub-compact .40 does not like to be "limp-wristed" either and does the same thing. I took it to the range with some friends and had one of my buddies talking all kinds of mess because he couldn't get it to feed, I'd get on the line and it fed fine and locked back on the emp...

Re: My SOG EOD multitool experience
SOG's fusion line is pretty low end crap. I was shocked to see those broken pliers though, and the screwdriver is the same story. Hit up SOG, I'm sure they'll replace it. For my part I carry two multitools in my EDC a Leatherman Surge and a SOG Power Assist, both really awesome in my estimation. I'd...

Re: Springfield XD vs Glock 17 vs Smith and Wesson M&P
I like shoes in size 13. HAHA! Post of the day. I love my XD, but not for any real rational reason like ammo, etc. It's just a nice little gun that works. Glocks are great guns, and the M&P line if very, very cool. All personal preference or need in some cases. For some folks the grip angles don't ...

A Master Lock combination trigger lock for the 870 and a box of Remington Ultimate HD shells for same. Looked them up when I got home and they apparently go for $34 MSRP?!?!? I paid $10 at Bass Pro.

Re: Buying my first semi auto rifle.
The reason I chose an AR is the same reason I chose a 1911 and a Remington 870. They are relatively common and you will be able to find parts post-SHTF should you need them. The other aspect is that they are proven (as is the AK, I realize). Go with what works for you, and makes you happy. That's ju...

Just remember that they're not "designed" for actual use on a firearm, don't expect support from Magpul should they have/cause an issue.

Re: Anyone watch Sons of Guns
I just didn't enjoy the manufactured drama of, "We gotta have this done by Friday", etc. Really? You have to completely engineer a new type of firearm or at least mount (I'm aware that the Masterkey is not new), and then test it and make sure it's not gonna blow up an kill the operator, but you've g...

Couple of Maxpedition items
Looking to sell my Khaki Maxpedition Colossus. It has the black zippers rather than the color matching ones. It shows a little wear on the shoulder pad but aside from that it's 100%. I'm asking $75 plus shipping. http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/kk209/Kabong30/IMG_0204.jpg I also have an OD green ...
