Re: Rural property, but the locals don't want you there ...

"Oh, we just love the environment and cost of living. But back home we..." :vmad: This. This x 2 I live in (sometimes unfortunitly) one of the fast growing areas in the SE. I've lived here all my life, and remember when the town was considered "semi-rural" I've watched it grow up. Change is going t...

Re: Most common ammo's in US?

Good points all around but here's another thought I have about the whole common vs uncommon debate. If you, as some advocate, stock and prep only the common calibers, what happens when an extended crisis hits (hey look, it's Covid!), panic buying sets in, and all of a sudden the supply of that comm...

Re: Most common ammo's in US?

But I also have a .357 SIG Glock. That I got as a gift. Seriously considering another handgun/round for bugging out/inch etc. Perhaps a Glock in 9mm is a better choice for sure. If I'm not mistaken, you can get a .40 barrel, and the Glock will run .40, even in the .357 Sig as well. I have a Glock 3...

The website says these are Gen 2 Poly lowers, that are reinforced with Kevlar at the buffer tube. Would that change anything?

Re: 80% AR Lower

To do it right you will want a drill press, a router, a GOOD vice, and a jig. But I'll give the same advice I give most anyone that is curious; if you don't buy the 80% and the jig with cash, most all the advantages of having an 80% are nullified. If you want to save money over a regular lower you ...

80% AR Lower

Tried search function, and I've been lurking on Google and YouTube too.... What's the best way to get started with an 805 lower? Feeling the need to get into it, for reasons I won't get into. Seen the videos on Youtube, but does anyone know of especially Easy/Cheap/Reliable options? I'm fairly handy...

Managed to find a rear window out of an '88 Blazer that fit the CUCV, so Yay! No more Plexiglas back window. Window Regulator is still goobered, so it's staked in right now. Either going to replace with the manual, or I may see if I can wire up the electric model from a civvie K5

Re: What did you today for your BOV/how did you prepare your BOV

Fixed the aforementioned T-Fluid leak quite some time ago. Wife got me a Duraliner bed liner kit for Fathers day, and finally got around to pulling the seat out, patching the couple small rust holes, and painted the floorboard in bed liner. And Wow! what a difference. Best budget mod yet. May raptor...

Saw a pick on FB that showed a knife in the young mans hand, before he was shot in the back, with an LEO in close proximity. If that's the case, then it's a justified shooting. I'll try to find it

The cynic in me says they knew exactly what was going to happen. That is why the secretary of HHS of NJ pulled her 95 year old mother out of a nursing the day before COVID patients started arriving. Unless you are a strong believer in fairy tales. Isn't that sort of the rub with a Politician of eit...
