Re: What did you today for your BOV/how did you prepare your BOV

Managed to find a rear window out of an '88 Blazer that fit the CUCV, so Yay! No more Plexiglas back window. Window Regulator is still goobered, so it's staked in right now. Either going to replace with the manual, or I may see if I can wire up the electric model from a civvie K5

Re: What did you today for your BOV/how did you prepare your BOV

Fixed the aforementioned T-Fluid leak quite some time ago. Wife got me a Duraliner bed liner kit for Fathers day, and finally got around to pulling the seat out, patching the couple small rust holes, and painted the floorboard in bed liner. And Wow! what a difference. Best budget mod yet. May raptor...

Re: Wisconsin Police Shooting and Protests

Saw a pick on FB that showed a knife in the young mans hand, before he was shot in the back, with an LEO in close proximity. If that's the case, then it's a justified shooting. I'll try to find it

The violence in Portland Oregon continues. The PPB reported that “two elderly community members attempted to stop the group from vandalizing the building with paint and were subsequently hit with the paint.” Videos show protesters aggressively confronting one woman, who was covered in what appeared...

Re: COVID-19 Chat Thread

The cynic in me says they knew exactly what was going to happen. That is why the secretary of HHS of NJ pulled her 95 year old mother out of a nursing the day before COVID patients started arriving. Unless you are a strong believer in fairy tales. Isn't that sort of the rub with a Politician of eit...

I really like the earlier suggestion of a wooden crossbow with some modern tweaks. Doesn't seem unreasonable. And I'd take some of JoergS"s stuff over an air rifle, I think

Re: Deepeka Baskethilt

Been looking at a Scottish Basket hilt Backsword or Broadsword. It's more of a Renfair decoration, but if I buy something, it's going to be functional. I've been big into genealogy lately, and have obtained a kilt in family tartan, as well as a beautiful Devil's Edge Sgain Dubh, and Dirk in Damascu...

Re: Atlanta Walkout

This is because the DA has lost all confidence of the law enforcement community in the area. One week he went on TV and told the world that a TASER was deadly force and the officers were wrong for using it to enable an arrest. A couple of weeks later he reversed himself and said it was not deadly f...

Re: Seattle: The Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone

Local news sources are now reporting that security forces have retaken control of rebel held areas. In a show of force they are closing businesses (including those who filed lawsuits against CHOP) by not allowing anyone into the “secured area” local news teams that were on scene during the 3rd wave...

If I "HAD" to pick, I'd go katana because it's longer. That's it. Hopefully, my baseball seeing will easily translate to difficult katana skills. But I'd prefer a blunt weapon. And if I had my pick of blade, it'd be a traditional machete. But now I'm thinking kukri. I dunno... I train a little in H...

I dunno... I'll bet if you spin it right you could easily rent out any vacant apartments there. Yeah, I wasn't *quite* ready to pay even Cold Steel prices on a Ren Fair piece....Maybe soon. The Deepeka said battle ready at Kult Of Athena, and was like $150. The quandary, is it's mostly decorative, but something irks my about having a weapon that's essentially fake, that I can"t use in a pinch
