There are a lot of us out there as well. Why is there never anyone like us in a group like that? where re we? do we have our own compound? i mean really? lest see the ZS represented in some way. Hopefully most of us are safely bugged in. We wouldn't make a very interesting/dramatic show. Day 3: Ate...

when you say fire, do you mean making fire or puting one out? either a fire steel and tinder or an ABC fire extinguisher As to riots or violence, a good radio in the car to let him know where the riots are taking place and a good map to use to get around or away from the violence. Urban BOB for teenager with allergies

I’m making an urban BOB for my 16 year old brother for Christmas. He will be driving soon so I was thinking of a BOB that he can take with him in the car in case of emergencies. This is meant to be functional but also fun, so it is technically for the zombie apocalypse, but will probably get used fo...

Interesting. I like the visuals. Sepia tone looks nice. Good camera work. A bit slow, but very suspenseful. What camera do you use?

Keep up the good work everyone. Your stories are inspiring. I'm still hovering around 130. Trying to lose the last 10 pounds. To lose 1 pound a week without exercise I should eat 1300 calories a day. I was eating 1000 calories and exercising to try to lose the last few pounds, but it wasn't working,...

Re: Pre p.a.w. activities/preps for kids

If your kids are addicted to screen time (and aren’t we all? This is not a criticism.) then get them in the habit of a once a month no-electricity evening. This is a great idea. My mom did this with me when I was a kid. As a result, when there is a power outage, it is more fun than stressful, becau...

Re: Chia seeds

Chia is awesome! I just bought some at my local hippie market. It is flavorless and has a texture similar to sesame seeds. In liquid, the texture is similar to tiny boba (tapioca pearls) with seasame seeds inside. It is very good in iced barley tea with almond milk. Plus it looks like frog eggs! I a...

Hope you found good dentures by now, but if you haven't: Catfish and other flaky fish are good sources of protein. Any slowcooked meat should be doable. Pulled pork, potroast, etc. Kabocha squash is delicious http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kabocha . I slice it in half, coat with olive oil and add salt...

Re: home made water filter

Fish filters are meant to remove large particles of waste and small amounts of metals and chlorine. Their main purpose is to oxygenate the water by moving it around. The other way they filter is biologically, by creating an oxygenated substrate of beneficial bacteria to grow so they can break down A...

Re: Getting a car for a big family???

The Kelly Blue Book website has a thing called Perfect Car Finder http://www.kbb.com/perfect-car-finder You can input stuff like how many seats, miles per gallon, price, and it suggests cars and tells you about how much to expect to pay. It also has some good articles on buying from individuals vs d...

Fish Bugging in, depending on the severity of the disaster, I plan on feeding my fish flakes until they run out, then eating the fish. Puzzle that turns into a gun

Someone made a puzzle called "The Intimidator" that is disassembled and reassembled into a pistol. Thought I would share the link http://www.maxton.com/c18add.shtml It looks like he sells them, but I don't know the person, so I can't vouch for him.

Re: Carpenter Ants

Most ants can climb trees better than people. If you did use a hammock, spraying bugspray on the ropes might have helped. Or bugspray on your shoes and the base of the tent. Ants can dig, so they might be able to get under the fire perimeter. I would have probably camped nearby (if there was a safe ...

Beer is around 150 calories for a 12 ounce can. Olympia gold light, Blatz LA, Pearl light, and Pabst extra light are around half that. Wines are around the same as beer (by volume) or slightly more, depending on how sweet they are. A good rule, is a shot of hard alcohol ranges from 70-120 calories. ...

Re: The Biggest ZS Loser- The Challenge!

Sounds like you're not eating enough. When you don't get enough calories, your body goes into starvation mode and tries to hoard every calorie. Oddly enough, you can end up gaining weight when you don't have enough calories. If i could make a suggestion, work on creating only a 500 calorie deficit ...
