Re: Where to buy 100% wool blanket?

The only REAL 100% wool blanket that I love and trust is the Swedish Officers Blanket

I have two of them. Not cheap but so worth it!

You may find them on eBay once in awhile for $50 - $100.

Just started sleeping with my select fire AR next to me.

No problems as it is in the SAFE position not the SINGLE SHOT or FA position.

Re: tripwires for perimeter alarm

Good idea but have you tested it yet? What about wind/weather/animals. If you are hiding out during a SHTF/PAW and an animal trips it and goes off people that may not know you are there now know you are. I would test it extensively before deploying the system in a SHTF/PAW scenario. Very good idea t...

Re: Sleeping with a gun under your pillow?

I do not sleep with a gun under my pillow because I move my pillow from side to side and that would be bad result for me. I however sleep with a loaded Glock 19 next to me in bed. Have a king size bed and within arms length I can reach it. Since I am use to sleeping in cots, sleeping bags and hammoc...

A little troubling that you needed the assistance of an "inside contact" to get their attention however....... Not really majorhavoc. As a Northeast US distributor for Fenix I am required to be the "middle man" in dealing with warranties. It is in their contract when you become one. This way they a...

Sounds like a good plan. Good plan to donate a bunch of them. I sure hope you like the scent. :D BTW you win the stock pile award. In my time on this forum I cannot rember anyone with a 46.5 year supply of anything. There is two different scents which isn't much variety but hey it was free :l...

Re: Does deoderant (not antiperspirant) expire?

Keep for a few years and then donate? I am absolutely sure deoderant lasts at least several years, because I got a bunch at Costco several years ago (?5 ish?). The last one is as yet unused, and still just fine. I am assuming this is the solid bar stick stuff and not the new alcohol gel crap - that...

Thanks everyone. I figured they would last forever. I know some antiperspirant does dry out but never had deoderant dry out on me yet. I am going to donate 100 sticks to a local shelter and keep the 186. I figure two per year (at the most) and it is me and my 5 year old son (he wont use it for awhil...

Does deodorant (not antiperspirant) expire?

Wondering for stockpiling and bug out purposes.

The reason I ask is because I recently (as of this afternoon) became the owner of 286 (2.25 oz) deodorant sticks, currently brand new (and yes not used).

Wondering if I should sell them or store them. Could use them forever!

Columbia Titanium in Convertible variety. This way you can maximize the wearibility of the pants all season. Love them. Very comfortable. Add thermals underneath for warmth in the winter.

Invest in what works in your AO and/or BOL

For me in the Northeast US CADPAT is the best.
