Re: Used TRP Jam

A close friend of mine had problems with his TRP as well. What we found was that his pistol only liked the more expensive mags. Can't remember the brand but they ran around $50 each. Anything less and it had problems. He sold it off out of frustration and went with a Glock 21. Been happy ever since.

Thanks for the kind words gentlemen. We are a "mom and pop" operation but we aim to please. I don't think you could go wrong with any of the vendors listed.

Re: Cold Steel Hawk keeps falling apart: Head slides down ha

Go to Home Depot and buy some stuff called GOOP. Then sand the inside of the head and the handle to get the best fit you can. Apply the Goop to the inside eye of the head and on the handle where the two come together. Assemble and let dry 24 hours. The Goop dries to a semi-flexible state and absorbs...

I just got off the phone with RC Wallace and he is gonna do his best to make it to the bugout but has to check his work schedule. If he makes it he will teach primitive fire skills. He is a wealth of knowledge and I'm sure we will all come away with a new skill if he makes it. Glitch... Get in touch...

Oxford is only about 100 acres to roam around on, however Enchanted Rock is only about 6-7miles down the road. Oxford has water, showers and bathrooms at the front of the property. It is drive up camping so people with physical impairments can camp no problem. There are no Park Rangers to gripe or c...

The Katadyn Mini might be an inbetween option. It also uses a silver inpregnated ceramic filter for purification.

http://www.vargooutdoors.com/store/images/hex%20medium.jpg The vargo is really nice, but $60??! I mean it doesn't really need to be titanium. I'd buy one for $25 if it was just stamped metal. Do a search for "Pocket Cooker" and you will find what you are looking for. They rust like hell after the f...

Re: Central Texas Mock Bug-out Planning

Had a good time. Mainly due to the quality company on the trail. The Central Texas chapter definitely has a good core group going. No whiners in this bunch despite the harsh temps and blisters earned on the hike. I think we all learned something on this trip even though it was just an over night sco...
