My Glock 19 with attached TLR-1, since it's quickest to get too. Ar-15 nearby.

For ladders, check out the Surefire ladders...differently contoured, lending more of a round shape to the rails.

Re: bushnell red dot sight opinions

Just a tip; Aimpoint debuted a "new" sight at SHOT this year, the Aimpoint PRO. It's a 2MOA M2 with mount and flipup covers. It's made to compete with the cheaper brands, and has a MSRP at $440, I've seen it priced at $400 in webshops. The mount has a spacer you can remove, so it'll fit both AR's a...

Re: Inexpensive Optics, Lasers, Lights?

I have never seen a "cheap" weapon light that was worth wasting the time or money on. Streamlights TLR-1 is right about $100. Anything less and it would be better to get a Surefire G2 and learn to hold a light in one hand and gun in the other. The TLR-3 is the cheapest I would go, around $75. Still...

Re: STI Spartan

Why not Paraordnance 1911 9mm ? I'm impressed those three words can be typed in a row without causing your computer to crash. My eyes only get about halfway through before I get a complete failure to read. OTOH IA drills are pretty useful things to run regularly, so it's definitely a good idea that...

That was pretty good.

Having used 33 rounders and 17 magazines in my 19 quite a bit, have not had any "over-insertion issues". Now, over-insertion during other times...

Re: Weapon mounted light for CCW?

Anyone else want to raise their hand for having done low-light training? I know both Phil_in_CS and I have. (Raises hand) Having used both weapon mounted (TLR-1) and handheld (G2Z) with my Glock 19, both are good options to have. For me, night sights and a good flashlight with me are more practical...

Re: Home based FFL assistance program?

Would be pretty damn cool if it was that easy though. $200 for 3 years, then $90 to renew it every 3 years. Get to mailorder ANY firearm you want tax free, make all your semi's into fully automatic. Buy silencers and explosive ordinance without any kind of stamp. SBR any firearm you own. Hmm, that ...

So you fucked the ugly striper with the strange scabs and now you have given up on all women?

You need to nail the prom queen ( LMT, BCM , COLT,) before you go over to men fulltime.
Although analogy is often suspect, I think this fits.

Re: New US Marine Corp Pistol contender?

I'm still not getting the love fest for the 45acp. OK, the 45 is not a joke but there are way better rounds. I'm really tired of the institutional inertia. The institutional inertia in the Marine Corps has always been strong . This is the reason why we had 1903's instead of Garands for half of WWII...

Re: Why not have a carry handle AR?

If a red dot dies, you are reduced to the level of someone who hasn't got one. If you start without one, everyone who has one has an advantage over you. They have to encounter a problem serious enough to kill their optic to end up in the situation you put yourself in. I really do not understand the...
