Revolution
It wasn't horrible...no more suspension of belief than Zombies. What do you all think. I'll probably give it another episode or two to see how I like it.

Re: Other products similar to RIBZ front pack / Hill People
Hazard4 has the Ventra Pack too. I have a Kifaru Koala and a Ribz. I like both for different reasons. Maxped and Ribz are supposedly partnering to come out with a more "beefy" chestpack.

Why even try Joerg. Make some kind of catapult-like apparatus and make them spin from launch.

Re: Warren Axe and Tool
It doesn't look like its seen a grinder at all, so hopefully a wire brush, some sandpaper, and some time sharpening it plus a new handle and I'll have a nice new-to-me axe. It's a bigger than a little forest axe, but it will work great as a splitting axe.

Found an old Warren axe head that's not too beat up. Anyone have any thoughts on quality? Is it worth re-hafting for use?

D2 Tool Steel on the Kershaw. Sorry I can't give a review; I've got one too, but it's currently a safe queen and I haven't had a chance to beat mine up in the woods yet. It feels good in the hand though. The handle is softer rubber that allows you to get a good grip, but i don't know how it'd hold u...

One Cheap emergency poncho / person. Small dry bag / case for electronics. Besides water rides, it can rain...a lot. Unless you want to pay mucho dinero for bottled water, something to carry water in PLUS something to make it taste better (gatorade packs, etc.). Florida water (at least at the parks)...

You don't have to be a paid member to buy though. You can PM people who are selling stuff and buy it from them.

This will be on it's way to me as soon as the sheath is finished, making me an official member of the Guys who have a Seax Club.

It is the AWESOME!!! Can't wait to hold it in my grubby little paws.

Re: What is the best camping hatchet?
I'd go with a Gransfors Bruks or Wetterling, instead of some lame axe-shaped-object. Or get really zany, and take a Cold Steel shovel: http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/csstoreonline_2199_16666730 I can never decide though.... https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-AwwtwAvPkOc/S_rpEhfFtiI/AAAAAAAAD8U/juDHeU5Fb8g...

Re: Best under-quilt for the Hennessy hammock?
Good Lord, some of those are pretty expensive. Anybody know of a pattern for one? Might try to make one out of fleece or an old poncho liner or two. Could anyone who has one just take a couple of good pictures of one with demnsions?

I HAZ SLING!
Got bored tonight and was watching Youtube and came across a series of sling videos. Long story short, cannabalized some old leather boots, cut up some paracord and now I am the owner of a brand- spanking-new-recycled-Goliath killer. First throw went about 50 yards or so. Second one, 125 easy. Why h...

Re: knife/ blade battery
An edged battery, in my mind, would be an EDC blade, a good multitool, an outdoors / hunting blade, a chopper / large blade, a filet knife, a butcher's knife, a machete, an axe, and a saw...so you've pretty much got those covered, except maybe the filet and butcher's knife. Everything else is just g...

Re: A cloak perhaps?
Do you think you are Dracula or the fucking prince of darkness? Nothing like standing out like a turd on a wedding dress. Why not get a big coat that covers your kit (minus pack) that makes you look overweight? My gortex fits over my LBE/armor and blends. I don't mean to be rude, but REALLY?...

Re: A cloak perhaps?
I have several cloaks (the reenactor thing) and they're great, but bulky. I could roll my big full-circle wool cloak up and it would be about the size of, well, a wook blanket, with just as much capability to keep you warm as, well, a wool blanket. That said, I give you the Hill People Gear Mountain...

Re: Which Trunk Gun?
Honestly since you carry a G17 (like me!) I would go for a Sub-2000 that takes Glock mags as a trunk-gun, along with a bunch of 33rd mags. It folds up super compact, light, easy to shoot, good for plinking or for a trunk gun you can put on top of your spare tire or in a side container without drawi...

Re: Which Trunk Gun?
I will say that I CCW a pistol and understand that I'll most likely be reaching for my pistol first in a direct emergency. The rifle will mostly be used for plinking, but could be used in an extreme emergency. Another reason I'm thinking about having one is that last year I put a deer hit by a truck...

I have decided to carry a rifle in the trunk of my car and have these three available. Which would you choose and why? I have my own thoughts on the matter, but am just hoping that you all will jog something else loose in my brain that will help me decide.

Matching colored accessories for Kifaru.
Does anyone know if any companies are making molle pouches or sheathes with the same color material as Kifaru's foliage? I'm looking for a flashlight holder and Leatherman sheath to mount on a Koala. I'll probably go with Maxped ones if I can't find ones that match. Wish Kifaru made some.
