My vote is the hi point carbine preferably in 9mm since the ammo is common and easy to find and inexpensive. The carbine is also affordable, fun to shoot, reliable,fairly accurate within 100 yards and would be a decent start for home defense or shtf situations. I wouldn't bother buying a 22 until yo...
