Re: Marines Get to Pick Glocks in Preference to to 1911s.

Love my M45A1. Accurate, great sights, great trigger. Has 8+1 capacity and hits hard all day long. Best of all, it's wearing the Pony. Ain't no phony, nor a clone(y). http://i372.photobucket.com/albums/oo166/agtman/CRG-3.jpg Not a girlie-girl 9-minimeter ... Don't care how many weeny little sp...

Re: ATI fatboy

Getting back on track - Classic Firearms has this on sale for $419. At that price point if you don't like it, you're not going to be out much. Also the Para 14 mags will fit, and save half the cost of the factory magazines. Dude, if it's a double-stack jamma-matic from the git-go, the OP's out $400...

Re: ATI fatboy

A glock may be cheaper but a 1911 has more cool factor! I'm a function over fashion guy, apart from being regular. :P Agree. Reliability is the key point. Most double-stack 1911s have simply not proven they can run the distance reliably - and, truthfully, it may be more about the finicky D-S...

Atlas Shrugged. A survival book. * * * I ... I can't even fathom. Well, dude, you're obviously the happy recipient of a "publik skool" edge-a-macation, so I won't give you a headache by explaining further. Re: Magnum Cartridge poll

10 mm Auto equals approximately 750 ft-lbs of energy, per wikipedia. .357 magnum equals approximately 675 ft-lbs of energy (same source), so 10 mm Auto is quite a viable replacement for the .357 magnum! Plus, the diameter of the bullet is larger, i.e., 355 vs. .400/10mm . .41 mangum [sic] equals be...

Seems the Russians, Finns, and Swedes didn't have much issues with their Mosins and Mauser. About any bolt action should do it though. Its all in the lubricant For best action-type to use in polar conditions, I agree. While the M1 Garand worked in Korea under hard combat conditions in some of the w...

Finally got out to the range yesterday to shoot the M1. What a blast! The Garand was dead-on at 50 yards and was smacking those steel plates with authority! Had a little difficulty getting the clips to seat, but I'm 99% convinced that was operator error. I'm going to strip her down again and reclea...

Re: Used Glock 22's for $349.

* * * Police guns don't get shot a whole lot. Generally, that's true. But every G22 & G23 I shot, new or used, was a MOBD gun. The only exceptional .40 I've ever shot was an early Sig 229. The S&W 3rd Gen 40XX-series were the worst. Not so with their 9mm, 10mm, or .45acp counterparts. Someone looki...
