Who has two thumbs and now owns an AN/PAS-7 infrared viewer, this guy. I'm looking for battery mods, hacks and tips. Thread necro! After some time we were able to reproduce the message. When we were drinking late at night it was "little brown tits", but come the morning with clearer heads it was "low voltage". This panel has two usb outlets. I figured having a diode built in would just be common sense. I figure this mod may be needed on most low end panels.
I also did the same mod to a 5 watt powerfilm folding charger and it also showed a great improvement.

I recently picked up this charger and quickly noticed that when I had cloud cover or lost direct sun that the panel was draining the power I had just gained.
