Re: What to take to India?
I fully believe that you need the equivalent of two wallets, each with cash and card. This way if one is lost, you have a second to fall back on. Passport, visa, and drivers license copies in the second one. I might also suggest a fanny pack. If you don't have one, I will gladly take you shopping th...

Re: Homestead land in the WA Okanogan
Looks great! Even better than what I had imagined when we chatted about it! The only suggestion I have is if you need to bring in bulk materials (gravel, top soil, etc) buy in bulk and have them bring it in during the summer. You can always move it around later, and only have to have the guy deliver...

OK, just watched the zomnado episode... Totally ripped off Dogbane's Adair series! Hahahaha! So true! I still like it, and look forward to season 2 (if it happens) SyFy renwed for season 2 in 2015. I wonder how many new crisp clean different color shirts Roberta will have this go around? . Th...

It looks like History Channel decided a backpack full of their own gear was to easy. Going over the gear list and watching the first episode, it appears they had to choose from what they were offered.

Re: offcamber's INCH Bag and contents
Offcamber, I've been in the market for a FAK that I could throw in the car. I want something bigger then a CLS bag, smaller then a STOMP, what bag are you using, and how does it compare size wise?

Re: A rifle/carbine mounted weapon light thread
I'm a big fan of the Inforce WML, both the original and the newer 500 lumen versions. I like them mounted at 12 o'clock, in front of the front sight. Totally ambidextrous as it can be operated equally well with the thumb of right or left hand on the hand guard. Of course, it doesn't work that way i...

Things like this make it really hard to do a proper winter mbo.
I have a bit of time on my hands next week. time to get creative!

Here is another enthusiastic yes for the Banshee. The only failing is the stuff attaching the cummerbund to the rest of it. I didn't like the slick straps and used an Ares Silencer to update it. It is perfect now. Pic to follow. My banshe. I have walked more than 40 miles in it, I have run while we...

So the portal is open, one way, for one hour?
I suppose my second question is why are we going?

WW is familiar with the woods and is, based on past reports, experienced enough to forage for food - successfully. Just how much food is able to be foraged this time of year should be educational for folks who blithely assume that they can 'live off the land' This is the one time of year where it c...

I'm tossing around the idea of donating tiered prizes.
Donating the first item with 15 entries, a better item at 30, and something even better at 45 valid entries.

Regarding this weeks episode, I like the fact that he can be introspective enough to see his own hatred, his own darkness.
That being said, I'm still not moved.

Re: How many magazines is enough?
I was in the Army and just getting into shooting a lot when the first AWB occurred. I remember having three magazines for my glock 22 when the price went through the roof...and that was if you could find mags at all. I ended up selling a nice M1A at the time because I had one good quality magazine ...
