Re: Wts Garmin GPSmap 60CSx
To anyone it may concern- After further discussion with some of the involved here via PMs, it has come to my attention that there were some questionable things going on behind the scenes with the first "buyer", Hitman13. I am not sure what "questionable things" were going on behind the scenes? OP p...

Re: Wts Garmin GPSmap 60CSx
I am trying to make two points: 1. A normal person will try to verify as much as possible about a previously unknown seller. 2. This takes time! HITMAN13 asked no questions, made no effort to verify the seller, and was willing to send payment immediately. To me this means that either HITMAN13 doesn...

Re: Wts Garmin GPSmap 60CSx
Ok, well I paid for this on paypal and then a few days later the OP refunded the payment with no explanation. I have PM'd him on here and emailed him as well with no replies. I guess I am not really out anything, but this is far from the way I expected someone on here to do business, and especially ...

the plunger method works pretty good. Used to do it at scout camp. best way to do it (IMO) is with a 5 gallon arrowhead bottle.

Re: Living in a sprawling metropolis, bug out to where??
Speaking of dust, being close to Luke AFB, in the unlikely event of a dirty bomb, I'll have plenty of glow in the dark snacks! I thought about that perceived threat and am not that worried about having Luke nearby. I am more worried about the fact that the Phoenix Valley is (IIRC) in the top ten or...

Re: Living in a sprawling metropolis, bug out to where??
I'm still of the mindset that if he is riding a mountain bike around town he isn't too far from home. In the event of most SHTF situations there will be ample time to haul ass home and bunker down. Maybe not if there is a neighborhood fire and stuff, but that's what insurance is for. Earthquake? Wel...

Re: Bottomless Salad Dressing Bottle of Holding
I like mine extra vinegary so I use about 2/3 a bottle red wine vinegar or balsamic, add herbs and spices, and then use some oil. I make it all at once (about 750ml worth) and use it for salads and sandwhiches. Is there any risk of botulism? I have never gotten sick from it and it usually sits in th...

Re: Living in a sprawling metropolis, bug out to where??
X2. I am really big on bugging in. If I have to up and leave it will be towards the Show Low are or to Arizona City on backroads through Coolidge. YMMV but I am not one to bug out unless necessary, like when I had to because of the fires in 2007 in SoCal.Kabong30 wrote:In Mesa (Phoenix)? BUG IN!

Re: Living in a sprawling metropolis, bug out to where??
I grew up in a rural farm community in Idaho. What part of Idaho? I have done some time there too :D . Now I live in the middle of Mesa Arizona, a giant sprawl of housing developments and strip malls. I live in a home with a sizeable amount of food storage/preps, but if there were a disaster that p...
