Re: Far Cry 3 anyone....

A couple heads up If didn't already know, there is a patch out now that adds a new level of difficulty and resets out posts. More importantly on May 1st a standalone dlc for Far cry comes out and it looks ridiculously insane. Its called Far cry 3: Blood Dragon and it's inspired by 80s action/sci-fi...

Re: Lazer Tag as Training?

Actually, outside of somehow getting/building a MILES rig and blank guns or blank adapters to play war, the best use of "laser tag" for training would be one of the virtual shooting ranges currently in military use (among others). I've had hours of experience with these ranges thanks to publicly ava...

Re: Anyone choose a NON semi auto rifles for shtf?

The only gun I own PERIOD is a Mosin-Nagant 91/30 with a bayonet and ammo pouches. Why? Because I don't have a lot of money to drop most of the time, but I wanted to just get a gun of some kind that was still of some quality. Cost me $137 with all the accessories, then another $40 for a case and cl...

Re: Lazer Tag as Training?

I was a regular at Hard Knocks in Orlando for a long time (which uses the same tech as the picture ad on the first page, including the exact same pistols), and I discovered a lot of quirks with it. There's no reloading, for one. Even if reloading is simulated, it's nothing more than pressing a butto...

Re: You've got to bug out to an unknown BOL, and you can onl

I'd grab the big gun. Gives me guaranteed defense against virtually anything or anyone out to get me, and a higher possibility of a one-shot stop. Not to mention that 800 rounds is a TON of ammo. My questions is exactly what caliber can this be in? An AR-15 is a hell of a difference from a Remington...

What does this "handgun safety test" entail? I'm a Florida resident, but I'm intrigued as to how difficult the questions are.

My sister named my 91/30 Jade after a Homestuck character with a rifle. I thought it was pretty, so I ran with it.

Re: Show and Tell thread, Longarm edition

Sorry about the mess (the room has since been cleaned, don't worry). This was the first picture I took with my iPhone: my only gun, a Mosin-Nagant 91/30. http://i39.tinypic.com/33k6ow8.jpg My sister named her Jade, after a Homestuck character. Built in 1938 at Tula and arsenal refinished. Came with ...

I told a girl who hates Paramore that she looks like Hayley Williams with her new hair color and even after repeated mocking and quoting Paramore lyrics, she never once got angry at me.

Re: What do wounds feel like?

Let's see what I can remember.... Shallow cut: This one was totally my fault. I had an old cardboard box that I was using to practice stabbing accuracy with and at one point the phone next to me rang. I stuck the knife in the box and went to get it, but unfortunately the box was very tall and very t...

Re: What long arm and handgun are you using to bug out?

While I don't own it yet, I will soon (within the next month, most likely) be purchasing a Mosin-Nagant M91/30 with a bayonet; money is a bit tight and the Mosin costs only $80. I plan on adding a scope at some point, though any other modifications depend on how I like the rifle as is and if I thin...

Recently added a small gut hook in a leather sheath to my desk drawer. It's my first response weapon until I purchase the Mosin.

Re: $1000 to spend, What would you buy

Assuming I magically got all of this money right now:

* Mosin M91/30 with a new Monte Carlo stock, ATI scope mount, and scope.

* Beretta 96.

* Plenty of ammo and at least three magazines for the pistol.

The rest I can save for later.

Maybe he got stuck in the "It's A Small World" ride for an hour or two. Or drank the pool water. I am watching something strange now. Snow. Coming. Down. In April. About an inch in the last hour or so. That's nothing. When my mom was younger she lived in Michigan. It was July 4 and they were swimmi...

Glad no one was hurt. Sticking up a bar while patrons are still inside is not very common. Probably because its one of the most stupid things to do. Who wants to do a robbery with a half dozen or more witnesses? Not to mention a patron may have baby aspirin muscles and decide to intervene. Oh did I...

Because on certain issues I can be a vindictive son-of-a-bitch. And because I don't like nosey, busy body snitches. In the OP's situation, if the librarian had an issue with something he was doing, she should have brought it up to him personally before escalating it to the "authoritahs". Which is s...
