Re: Aussie preppers unite!
Hi AussiePrepper, welcome to Zombie Squad. There are indeed a few Aussie members, and we have our very own thread in the Meeting Room forum - although it has been quiet for a while. You should wander over there and say hello, you'll get the attention of quite a few Aussies that way. :) You'll find t...

Re: Mom's Journal of the Zombie Years
Please do not apologize, Kathy. I'm sure we are all sad to hear of yours and your families losses and tribulations :( . And another thing, you are NOT whining. These are perfectly legitimate sorrows. We will be patient (well, most of us). Best wishes to you and your family. I agree with this post c...

Re: Mom's Journal of the Zombie Years
 Oh my goodness, those brownies look amazing. I got a KitchenAid mixer for my birthday (candy apple red, woot!). Perhaps I should do some baking... Got a good recipe, Kaijafon? Or, well, anyone? I'm open to all suggestions! :D I'd send some to you all, but somehow I think the postage time wou...

Re: Mom's Journal of the Zombie Years
Thanks for the update, Kathy! I'm with LowKey, I think the NRSC is involved here. It makes me feel sick to my stomach that anyone could be capable of that sort of thing, though. I hope they get what is coming to them. I also really hope that Ski is OK. He's smart enough to suit up before going outsi...

Re: Mom's Journal of the Zombie Years
Thanks for the new chapter, Mother Hen! Shoe shortage, eh? Might not be a viable solution, but I imagine that your fibre crafter could whip up some slippers... like these ones: http://alpaca-farm.com/store/images/felt-clogs-pattern.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Obviously they wo...

Wow, thanks for moar, Kathy! That entry was absolutely chilling... ZB is going to be in my nightmares tonight! I, for one, will continue to read (even if I'm not commenting all the time) for as long as you keep writing. You have an amazing talent and the moar horde is lucky that you share it with us...

Re: Women's Health Issues in the PAW
I'm a firm believer that normal birth (sans complications) is not a medical emergency that requires hospital care...my wife gave birth to our son at home with assistance from me and a midwife. Brilliant! Do you have any advice or stories to share, both for pregnant women and their partners? I fancy...

Re: Women's Health Issues in the PAW
My issue is that I am a scientist, so I want evidence. Now if the effects are as great as you say then the study would be easy, cost next to nothing and give good statistical results. If that was the case and I was selling menstrual cups I may give 50 away if people would be in my study. Funny that...

2. Menstruation Well, I don't know if it'd be useful for ovulation pain, but I have got some low-tech pain management tips that could be helpful. I suffer from endometriosis, so I get pretty severe pain on a regular basis. Obviously, having a stock of painkiller meds is a priority for anyone who kn...

Re: Red mist blankets Sydney as dust storm blows in
I'm in Brisbane - we've copped it twice this week. Well, three times, I guess, since I woke up at 6am Saturday to orange light peeking around the curtains and then at about 9pm the same day we had it again. It was pretty weird here - not red, but the sky was this orangey-yellow and the sun looked bl...

Oh no! Heartbreaking stuff. I feel just awful for Sissy, Scott and their clan... but the whole community is going to be affected by this. I just want to come into the story with comfort foods and lots of hugs (I'm good at hugs).
Happy freakin' mothers day, eh?

Fun recipe - undead chicken
Just got sent this link, with a recipe for 'undead chicken' or Ka Gai-tord Nam Gai.
Sounds delicious, actually. I'll have to see if I can track down all of the ingredients and give it a burl. Anyone tried it before (or something similar)?
Enjoy!

Hooray for story! Thanks, Kathy.
Bamboo fibre is soft, shiny and lovely. And definitely better than cotton for summer clothes.
Thanks for the additional info on NRS - I'm always fascinated by those details. I wonder if they'll ever find a 'cure'?
