Re: barricading the homestead

One idea I just had... If you have a gate that you want secured, just build a lot of rocks into your landscape, once tshtf just take them out of their resting spot and pile them behind your gate, maybe add some dirt or gravel to hold them in place better. It would make opening tthe gate very difficu...

You'll be slinging your shelter and sleeping bag under the frame, which drives some people nuts if their bedroll is bumping against their butt all the time. I didn't think people just hung their sleeping equipment off the back with an external frame. i use some rope and sinch my tent, sleeping bag,...

The entire 500 series are pretty stout. of course they are, the 500 and 590 were/are issued to the USMC i read an article that they are replacing it with a semi-automatic called the 1014 made by beretta or something or maybe it was benelli, i don't remeber I'll have to look ...

Re: Questions on condensing MREs

I don't get the whole breaking down the MRE thing. If they're so bloated with crap you don't need, why not just carry some freeze dried camping food, like Alpineaire or the like? Tastes better, too! I already have MREs, and actually kind of like them. In the future, I might get some of the mountain...
