Re: building a "tactical" 10/22

I would just get a Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22. Then just throw on some sort of red dot or scope and be done. All under budget as well.

Re: Need help finding a 9MM for my wife. Sorry, long post.

I really like my M&P 9c. My wife (She's rather small at 5') has no problems with the slide and it comes with interchangeable back straps to change the grip. I got mine for $635 OTD(@ Budsgunshop) and it came with crimson trace laser grips which my wife also loves.

Re: Concealing a Mid-Sized Glock

I've used a Comp Tac MTAC to conceal a Glock 23 and it works great. The holster has held up very well after 2 years of use. I highly recommend Comp Tac for their turnaround time and costumer service which I have had first hand experience with.

Re: Best 9MM HD round? There's a Pole!

I use the 115gr Critical Defense loads from Hornady. Love the fact that my wife should have no problems with them. I plan on getting some PDX-1 loads to switch between depending on when and where I carry.

Re: Mom couldn't buy her rifle today at Bi-Mart!

I was actually delayed last week when buying a handgun. It pissed me off because of the long drive, but I didn't let it show too much. I got a call 2 days later saying I could come pick it up. Not sure why I was delayed, but I guess I do have a rather common name. I'm sure everything will work out. ...

Re: Finally got an XDM 9mm...

Congrats on the purchase, I've been wanting a Springfield XDm (4in, all black) for my CCW. Just need to save up... or just sell my Ibanez :D What kind of groups have you been able to get? Just FYI...The XDm only comes in one size, and its pretty large for CCW. Its got a 4.5" barrel and its grip is ...

Re: Smith & Wesson M&P15-22

I've been eyeing one as well. Maybe I'll wait and see how they fair, hopefully then they will actually be in stock. I think its a better option compared to the Colt/Umarex which lacks a bolt release. Also about $150 cheaper. I like this better than the 10/22 mainly due to the fact that it comes read...

I placed my order for the S&W earlier today. It went on sale and I saved about $25. Paid $635 out the door. I think I got a pretty good deal. I plan on posting pics whenever I get it in, probably be about a week.

Seems like they withdrew a lot of their inventory after the sale went live. Luckily my gun was still available and actually dropped $25 in price. Placed my order 5 minutes ago.

Smith & Wesson M&P 9c w/Crimson Trace Laser Grips for $635 out the door.

Re: Any comments on the Springfield XDM?

I owned a Glock 23 and a XDm .40. The XDm changed the way I looked at Glock. It seriously makes the Glock design seem ancient. I shot a lot better with the XDm than I ever did with my Glock, and if I could conceal one I would carry it every day. I love the XDm as does my dad who is an avid SA revolv...

Re: CCW S&W MP9c or CZ P-01?

Thanks for all the comments. Mr.Rogers, yes I've thought about the P-07. However, I've read about magazine issues and to me the gun just seems too new for me to consider for CCW. I'm thinking I'll go with the S&W, it's got that "middle of the road" size between a compact and sub-compact that should ...

CCW S&W MP9c or CZ P-01?

I'm in a bit of a dilemma, I can't decide between a S&W M&P 9c and a CZ P-01. I've read raving reviews for both. I can get the S&W M&P 9c with Crimson Trace laser grips for $653, which to me sounds like an awesome deal. The CZ P-01 is $558 without laser grips. Around $260 for laser grips separately,...

Re: Need a new conceal carry...Sig P250?

While the modular aspect of the P250 does have some appeal, the parts are hard to come by locally. Judging by the cost of Sig's mags, changing calibers and grip sizes could get very pricey.

I did find a M&P 3.5" Compact w/Crimson Trace Grips for $653. Sounds like an awesome deal to me.

Need a new conceal carry...Sig P250?

I need to replace my Glock 23 with something else for conceal carry. I prefer 9mm at the moment so that my wife would be comfortable shooting it if needed. I've been looking at the Sig P250, mainly due to the smallish frame size (Skinny, slim frame). Its also about $200+ cheaper than a Sig P229. I'v...

I'm 5'6 170lbs and carried a Glock 23 in a Comp-Tac MTAC IWB holster all the time with a loose t-shirt over it. It prints very little, but no one notices at all. They probably think its a cell phone.

I've done a lot of research into hammocks such as the Hennessy Hammock and the Clark Jungle Hammock. Personally, I would choose the Clark Jungle Hammock. With such a large group of people (20+) it would be hard to camp anywhere else besides a national forest, which has a butt load of rules and regulations. I think all Alabama state parks and national forests ban firearms and alcohol. I heard once that you could apply for a permit to carry within a na...

Love the cocoon style of the tent. Wish someone would just make a tent like that. Seems like such an awesome design, however, sleeping at the base of a tree doesn't sound like a good idea. Thats usually where I found all the bugs.

The 2 into one theory doesn't make sense, as was stated by others.

Re: Help setting up solar panels - first time

Using solar and wind power just isn't another option in getting electricity. It REQUIRES a life change that not many are willing to opt for. You have to make changes in your consumption of energy, otherwise, you'll pay out the butt for a huge system and never save any money. Many people plan on how ...
