Re: Grip Pods -How do we feel
As Dave said "chow hall kickstand"
Nice idea poor execution, not really needed.
The feet break off pretty easy too.
Glad you got it cheap.

Re: Low Light Techniques
I am a bit confused by the flash, MOVE, shoot technique. At what range are we practicing this. Anything I'm talking about is at pistol distances, primarily indoors. You might have a carbine rather than a pistol, but the ranges are in feet and not yards. If its measured in yards you should have brou...

Fancy! Mebe you can cerakote that something ridiculous  I want a 357 revolver for no good reason. Finished my taxes. Sad that my return is going straight to the credit card this year and while it will make a dent, I'm still further in debt than I want to be. :gonk: Same here but at least with ...

Re: Firearms Chat: Stipple that, home edition
Thanks Dave. I've been wondering how IDPA targets scaled. Long story short is that I bought myself a SIRT training pistol for Christmas and was very impressed with the results I saw with my grouping size at 25 yards so I decided to take it up a notch or two. Bottom row is 1/3 scale and the top is 1...

Re: ACOG Advice
I'll go LaRue every time cause they have taken care of me in the past even went I stripped the hell out of a set of scope rings and screwed up the mount. They sent me a completely new mount. Yeah I have spent several thousands of dollars with them on mounts and optics but thats still pretty freaking...

Besides that its roughly 600 miles from me and I can't set up before hand no. If someone local would be willing to do prep work I can get us on the schedule there.Greg Focker wrote:Is there a problem with Big Piney?Chris@MTCT wrote:When someone finds a range.Jeriah wrote:When will we know 2014 dates?

Re: Firearms Chat: Stipple that, home edition
So dave would reccomend a FSB mount? I've looked into those for my standard handguarded AR... I recommend many setups; yes, an FSB mount is among them. Do you or anyone know of the Fenix TK11? I'm looking at a Impact Weapon's mount for my Middy MOE handgaurd and a TK11? Just untill i can afford a T...

What's a pipe dream about having a light gun that can shoot to 600?
The question is can you shoot to 600.

We really didn't touch on this at the last one since reloads were not focused on but there are perfectly good reasons to do either way. I have normal hands so a slide release is easy for me. I also own only Glocks. I'm also smart enough to know that over the top works on almost ever semi-auto out th...

How the hell you guys went of on immediate/ remedial action when GBM was talking about reloads is beyond me.
Of course your going to use the charging handle for one of those.
I should have just kept browsing.

Re: Firearms Chat: Stipple that, home edition
Question of the day. Has anyone had a failure to go into battery when they've hit the bolt release on their AR 15? Set up, you've run dry, dropped the mag and inserted a fresh mag. You hit the bolt release, have you had a failure to feed? I never have but I've seen a few instructors who say run the...

Re: eye sight and optics issues
Well learning how to manipulate the rifle left handed is what you need to do then. That's an easy fix that a few minutes of dry practice every day will iron out just fine. Learn to shoot your irons before you jump up to an optic. That will also give you time to look around and find one that will wor...

eye sight and optics issues
I never said pistol.
With someone who posted they have difficulty shooting a rifle at 35 I would not recommend a pistol either.

Re: eye sight and optics issues
Ok since I have been baited in on this once might as well go for a second. If I could only see to 50 yards I would not own a rifle. That's my personal view and as that I don't expect anyone else but me to follow my advice on that. Disclaimer: I do wear corrective lenses and I have shot with out them...
