Re: Nightvision compatible optics?
I actually have ANVIS 9 night vision that I tried out with a NV compatible EOTech and it works fine. The difficult part is the fact that you have to constantly adjust the focus of your goggles between far and near (if you want to see where you're feet are going, you won't be able to see very far), b...

Nah... not really bothered. Just thought I might point out that snarky comments might cause you to miss out on someones great deal. Oh... and there was supposed to be a :D after the  to emphasize the "I'm not really bothered" aspect, but it seems I didn't click it properly. Lack of preview for...

Way to pimp your own listing.[/quote] Yeah... would have just posted in the trading post, but I cannot create a thread. Besides, it was a legitimate offer, and I am willing to trade for old stuff he doesn't want anymore, which neither of those sites will do. Next time I will make sure not to offer y...

Re: DUMBEST F*&@king thing you've ever heard NOT ON THE ZS F
"Is that a machine gun ?" someone once asked in reference to my Mossberg bullpup shotgun. There's only one answer to that: "Why, yes. Yes it is." That is the point where you tell them to watch the target closely while you fire off a single round of 00 Buck (making sure not to eject the spent shell)...

Some very good points have been made here without getting too political, I am totally impressed! I just wanted to chime in with the standard "know your local laws" bit. Now many are aware of the state laws, but I mean LOCAL like county and city statutes. I do not mean too harp on something tha...

OOOOOh!! Please let me know what they give you for a prince quote. I shop there all the time, but have never called that 800 number to get their price quote on one. I have a Cabela's Visa Black Signature card, not because I am spiffy or rich but because I put ALL of my bills and tuition on my card a...

Sheesh, at least you guys seem to have options. Now this isn't exactly the dumbest thing I have heard , but you will get the idea since I am sure that there are at least a couple of you out there that have similar experiences. Here, we have one indoor range. It is of course staffed with the usual bu...

Welcome! The PI is a great place! I lived there back in the late 80's early 90's... that is until that whole volcano thing. But I do miss the islands! Beautiful jungles, pleasant weather, and some of the biggest friggin insects I have ever seen! Look forward to seeing your posts around...

I do however wonder, that within a large group, one person could die of a drug overdose, yeah I know it happens, its just phenomenally sad and disheartening. You would think that somebody would have noticed in a large community. But the way any large group will try and distance themselves from a tr...

I am glad someone mentioned the Beretta CX-4. I have wanted one for some time now since it would match my PX-4 in .40, but since I also own a Glock 22 I am also very interested in the Sub 2000! So that being said, I would suggest that you look into the Glock versus the Beretta PX-4 as well since the...

I just picked up an EOTech 552 plus Magpul MBUS (front & rear) from a guy here for $300. Now I just have to convince the wife that I need a new flat top AR to put it on! I already have an ACOG on my old RRA A2, seperating them would be a travesty, and swapping out the upper assembly would just be co...

I kinda feel bad about posting the snub nose thing since it seems to have caused quite the debate! Though I have to say that for all intents and purposes, I am pretty sure that a snub nose versus a 6" will produce larger groups with 99.9% of shooters out there, especially in combat. As for the lack ...

Not exactly OT (skipable): I recently wrote a paper for my masters program that addressed this issue to some extent. In my research I learned that SCADA is considered secure because it is only used in indistrial applications, meaning the programming language is unique to SCADA and would require purp...

I would just caution you on using police departments as indicators of quality. This is not to say that there are deaprtments out there that do their homework as far as what is approved or otherwise. However, this is sadly not the case for all of them. I know that the decision here is left to one guy...

Alright... I think that I may have already read pretty much every post so far and haven't seen this one come up. I saw someone mention the video game Fallout and some issue with naming. I play Call of Duty: Black Ops (if you have played, you probably know where I am going with this). For those who h...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8QjZY3WiO9s Yeah... I also love how the first target that the "gunman" chooses is always the one armed person. Absolutely no chance that they might be too preoccupied with shooting people closer to them to notice the one CCW in the room! Anyway... OT: Kind of a...
