Re: Haiti--when life as you know it ends.

I wasn't sure where to post this exactly, but I found this story on CNN today, thought it brought a nice reminder about the use of so called 'old fashioned' radios. http://www.cnn.com/2010/TECH/01/20/haiti.amateur.radio/index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; There was also this ar...

Re: question about cooking in the house with out power?

They do still sell non-electrically lit gas stoves, I have one, it was only purchased about five years ago. Natural Gas is great, takes a lot to make it go out, and can run a lot of things. I would really like to get a Natural Gas generator for my home, but the price is a bit much for me right now. ...

I was very disapointed to find out at the ticket desk that George wasn't there, nor did I see that info posted anywhere. Did I miss it?

Re: Brain Buckets

I'm pretty happy, I found a decent deal at a local surplus store.

So I fixed it up a bit with some painters tape and some flat black spray paint.
It's no pro job, but it works for me.

Re: Driving a Jeep with the Windshield down.

For those in the state of IL: You are allowed to have the doors off, but you must have at least twp mirrors, it can however be any combination of the three. As far as the windshield being down, my '06 manual also says that it is for low speed off road use only. Now, motorcyclists are required by law...

Question on the front page post:

Kyle, I was reading the front page post and I noticed something:

At first it says this:
"The raffle tickets are quite cheap. You get one ticket for every 5 cans of food (or $5)."

Then it says this:
"Canned food for the raffle! - 5 cans or $3 per ticket"

Just wondering which is which. :>)

A possible zombie decoy?

A question on The general idea is that noises, ones that are not those heard in nature, tend to attract zombies, right? But are there certain noises that zombies might or might not be drawn to? How about wind chimes? Keeping in mind, there are a lot of different types that sound different, from the ...

I stumbled onto The Walking Dead on Image's website. After reading the first comic online, I went to my local comic/game store and found 1-5 of the collections. I am currently waiting on #6. I have found that I really like this series. While it does seem at first that the main character has a 'chara...

Just saying that is what I have been told, at least at night. During the day I've heard it's fine, but I've been told stories of cars being left on blocks, completely striped.

Well, I hope to get over there and meet people in person at long last.

Just as a side question then, has there ever been any problems with the area that anyone of ZS has had to deal with?
I am vaguely familiar with the area, and Tower Grove park is a place I and many others have been told to avoid.

I've sent mine this morning (May 17th) and I got a conformation email.
I will guess that it did go through with no problem.

As a side note, for those who are in the STLMO area, is the Sunday meeting open to the public, or strictly members only?
