Re: Neat new device: 4-bay Batter re-charger/power pack

Thats awesome. it looks like it could fill an important niche between conventional battery powered devices and USB powered ones. can you charge it while simultaneously powering other devices?

Re: do zombies poop?

Is that what my ex meant when she said she had fluffed the pillows for me? I lol'ed  On a related note, I heard girls don't sweat, they glisten. On topic, who says zombies even swallow? Maybe they just masticate tissue and it tumbles out of their mouths when they go for the next bite. Come to ...

Re: Spring onions

Huh, good question.. I've always known them as wild onion, spring onion, etc. though that's just what we unofficially dubbed them in my family. I've never really questioned it. They always sprout up like weeds everywhere around here, so that would support your hypothesis. All I know is that they are...

Re: My CS trail hawk is arriving tommorrow.

Submitted my post before I was ready.. damn smartphones. So far on the hawk head I've ditched the set screw, stripped the paint, smoothed out the rough edges, fixed the edge and polished the whole thing up with Emery cloth. I then applied a thin layer of oil to the metal surface for rust protection....

Re: My CS trail hawk is arriving tomorrow.

Well the trail hawk came in the mail about a week ago, and I'm in love. I've put in a lot of time swinging a framing hammer, and this thing is balanced similarly enough that muscle memory took over shortly after I began playing with it. It feels right at home in my hand, and has a very a solid feel ...

Spring onions

Drying a shit-ton of spring onions today. The house smells... great. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/04/10/enemudeh.jpg I add them liberally to most things you'd add dried chopped onion too. They contribute a nice mild flavor. That's about 10% of what's currently popped up in the yard so far, not count...

My CS trail hawk is arriving tommorrow.

I'm sitting here shamelessly watching fight scenes from the Patriot and Last of the Mohicans on YouTube, and checking for shipping updates. Well now not completely shamelessly now that I see that in writing.. Anyway i plan to remove the set screw and clean up any burrs, and I will likely remove the ...

Re: My GHB

Looks well thought out. I have few of those mini soda bottles floating around, being able to replace the cap with any soda bottle cap is nice. I didn't see any cravats. Triangular bandages have a million uses, and not only as a first aid item. Plus they take up next to no space. In all the ambulance...

Re: metal working advice please.

I've been looking into this as well. I have a cheap flea market knife with a design I love, but the steel is from Pakistan. I have a few file knives that are great. Its my understanding that file steel is too hard and brittle to make quality blades as is, but with proper annealing and tempering work...

Re: Help me find a lighter I'll get along with

I know the op has found his lighter, but I just wanted to mention zippo blu, their butane model. same flint ignition as the normal zippos, no fluid evaporation issue. Mine HAS been run over by a truck, and still works fine(though to be fair I think I just got lucky). The striker wheel and brass flin...

Because indirectly, though it seems like forever ago, ZS started it all for me. I even briefly considered a ZS tattoo.. Your mother called. She said to say "thank you" for thinking better of it. PS: she says she still hasn't forgiven you for that other one. She said you'd know which one she's talki...

Re: Survival in a snow cave

I thought the same thing. There are quite a few cases where people have been saved from survival shows. I'm afraid that one day though someone will listen to Bear Grils and end up killin themselves. I feel like more people end up killing themselves thinking they are some sort of "survival expert" b...

Re: Boxed Wine =)

I love (certain)boxed wines. If you want to feel classy you can call them "cask wines" ;) We drink dry reds mostly, which are consumed at room temp so its perfectly fine sitting on the bar till someone needs a glass. once opened it keeps for almost a month and a half, which is nice when you buy the ...
