Re: World War Flea - the Flea Apocolpsye in Real time

Thank you Dale I will look in to that. I noticed that many pest control providers do not guarantee their work vs fleas. The flea bombs did a great job spreading the fleas through the house. You may be doing it wrong. Make sure you don't have a pilot light or any other open flames, and forget the in...

Re: Tavor or Steyr AUG

I vote Tavor for no reason other than color choices  I guess I'll prolly go with the Tavor. If I hate how it shoots, I should be able to get most of my money back quickly. I'm just remembering BITD when I picked up a full-sized Uzi with a giggle switch, and how underwhelmed I was with it once ...

Tavor or Steyr AUG

So, I've decided that I need a bullpup rifle for use as a dedicated car gun. I'm seriously considering the Tavor and the Steyr AUG. While not the be-all end-all, cost is not irrelevant. I'm curious to see if anyone has shot both, and their thoughts on them. I'm not going to get rid of any of my ARs,...

Dude, it'll take a LOT of wobble for it to be enough to cause a FTF. Shoot it first before you start trying to fix a problem that may not exist.

Re: .22lr bubble?

So you are never restocking? 22-26 was the norm pre panic. If you are thinking it will get lower than that you are in for a disappointment. Well, I've been putting it aside a fair bit for quite a while, due to some projects and guns I thought I'd eventually purchase. Unfortunately, I hadn't bought ...

Re: Firearms Chat 3: #pewpewlife

Well rats. I figure I'll get one of each, mess with them, and if they don't work, they don't work. I know people who took an idea or two, dicked around with them for awhile, put them back together, got NSNs, sold hundreds of thousands of units, and laugh their asses off when they see plastic Airsoft...

My main concern with the HSGIs is the exterior cordage. That's an out-and-out deal killer, not for me, but for one of the SMoAFlings, and I'm trying to find a good fix.

Re: Firearms Chat 3: #pewpewlife

Regarding the ITW Fastmags, there's a pretty big price spread. I assume that somebody is making Airsoft copies, right? The OPFOR is ~$5 more too Have you personally tried either the Fastmags or the OPFORs? To be honest, due to the high signal to noise ratio, I've been pretty far out of the loop for...

It'd be nice to have the OPTION of making a call, but I'm reminded of two legal axioms: "Bad facts make bad law", and "A right delayed is a right denied." If anybody wants to talk politics on this via PM, I'm game, since I'm currently disabled and fairly bored. Regarding the ITW Fastmags, there's a ...

Re: .22lr bubble?

I've sold a decent chunk of .22LR in the past few years for positively STUPID prices. Unless you're completely out and NEED .22LR to take your kid to the range this weekend, it's insane to be stocking up at these prices. I mean, come on. Some people are paying (I saw crazy ($90/333rd) prices at a sh...

Re: Firearms Chat 3: #pewpewlife

Ok, I figure I'll throw this out here. Awhile ago, I saw a new to me type of AR magazine carrier for one's LBE. Instead of standard pouches, it basically had three closed top magwells that had mags inserted into them. The net result was that the bottoms of the magazines were exposed, making it look ...

Hey, look. I read my post, and if somebody else had posted it, my first thought was "Sweet FSM, that guy's a total douche." Re: Vehicle rifle rack

Obviously I can't speak for everybody. In my case, I generally only keep a rifle in my vehicle when I'm going to and from work. This is because odds are that if if I'm going to have a problem, it's most likely going to be going to or from work. I do leave my magazines and other gear in my vehicle 24...

Re: CMMG AR-15 any good.

First: I'm sorry I come off as a snob. It's one of my many weaknesses. Mea Culpa. Secondly, I've only built four lowers up at this point. I've never kept track of the pmag variants, but all four Bushmaster lowers dropped both loaded and unloaded pmags that were manufactured in February of 2009, IIRC...

I've never had one of their complete rifles, but I've had a few of their stripped lowers. Once I've built them up, they've done OK. That being said: AR lowers have dropped in price so much that I can't justify buying one of their stripped lowers. I recently picked up a bunch of Bushmaster AR lowers ...

I don't have a proverbial dog in this fight. I don't think I've ever done a deal with Mr Black. That being said: I've got a few of these packs, and they absolutely rock. I've carried maybe 80 pounds of ammo distributed in different pouches in one of these for a couple of hours while walking on concr...

I'm tempted to buy absolutely anything Maxfarrand has for sale even if I don't have any use for it, just because he treated me so incredibly well on a really small purchase.

Re: .22lr bubble?

I think we will eventually get to the point where we will see bricks of low end .22lr readily available for under $12, instead of the $35 people are getting now. We're already seeing the AR market start to become glutted, with well known manufacturers dropping the cost of stripped lowers to $50 reta...
