Re: Mom's Journal of the Zombie Years

I've been reading this for 4 days now.

I do believe I have been bitten by a "MOAR" zombie.

More MJotZY, please. :D

Re: You are going 1000 years into the future.

I was really bored, so I figured I would try to make a story Didn't seem to work so well. Never leave home without some Sunstone crystal. Used one shard to build the Fortress. A few more could reproduce the battleships that forged our ancient empire. You didn't think we just explored those 28 known ...

Re: You are going 1000 years into the future.

I would fill it with rum. Ownership of house\property and the acreage behind us. A couple of very good knives and a hatchet, sealed in cosmoline or other preservative. I would take a gun and ammo, but I don't believe the ammo would be worth a damn after that long. A magnesium fire starter. A 1 lb b...

You are going 1000 years into the future.

You have been selected to go 1000 years into the future by the government. The magic of physics says that there is only one opportunity to do this, with a limited window of only a few seconds. The limited data from the other side says that your craft and a buried bucket makes it. That is all they kn...

Re: Constitutional crisis in Honduras

My simplistic answer to you, sir, is that they are condeming what they fear in hopes that it does not come home.

Anyone who condems it is on my dislike list.

Re: Meteor strike

Well your solutions beat my scenario pretty quick. Lets complicate it. After some time waiting for UFO nuts, and waiting for the dust and ash to settle, you depart. After a day or so of following what seems to be the remains of the highway you come across an 18 wheeler. You stand on top of it to get...

Re: Meteor strike

There is only so many ways the piano can be played. The other one I had was "yer stuck on the moon with zombies lol". I didn't think that was all that useful here. : ) The scenario says have a vague idea where you are, no natural land marks, no gps, and everything is gone. I certainly think that mak...

Meteor strike

This is a what if scenario I have not seen before. You are driving along in your vehicle with whatever is in it right now. Ahead, in the clouds, you see an odd flash. Before you have a chance to flinch it hits the ground and the world goes crazy. For a undetermined period of time, you and your vehic...

Re: Walmart to cut gun sales in 1/3 of stores

I think this my be a result of the FFL system, actually. Imagine the training and vetting required to make sure bubba behind the counter isn't going to just blow off the paperwork and collect the cash. Think of how many times you have passed up a gun just because you were concerned that the company ...

Re: So you are bugging out but not in a rush...

Our overall plan is to stay at home but if that becomes impractical I have a three phase plan. Each phase depends on the respective time frame. Items already in vehicle: 1st aid pack, seasonal clothes, tools, box of mre (home made style from a post on this forum, 6 meals) 2 gallons water. Phase 1 (OM...

Re: Hitchhike

I would not work alone in that situation. Since I am a truck driver in this scenario, I would have my partner sit behind the passenger seat, arms loaded and ready to quickly defend. I would stop, a ways back, and look for signs of ambush. Then I would advance, put down the window, and ask a few que...
