Re: Money, money, money
I think Pelican or similar does have a lot to be said about it, especially something like the "Hardback" series. They're smaller than most Pelican products, but there's still rather a lot of room for documentation, cash, coinage, even precious metals. And they don't really look like a regular Pelic...

Re: Possible bug-out rig
The biggest downside is it's got the 80/20 bench rather than console, but if I decide it's a big enough deal apparently that's swappable. Yeah, that's how I ended up with a pair of $200 seats for my Dakota sitting in my spare room for the last ten years. We were trying to replace a driver's seat wi...

Re: Money, money, money
OK, what about simply converting some of my money to foreign currency in the forum of cash? I've gone to US airports and changed USD to other currencies but that was for a short trip. What's a safe way to store it that isn't under my mattress? Safe deposit box? I suggest multiple smaller caches as ...

Re: Preps for a Contested Election in November
After speaking w/a good friend of mine, I am hunkering down next week, with the ability to leave within minutes.
I am >0.5 miles from the Statehouse. I don't see trouble here, but I am told that I haven't always been correct in my predictions
Good luck everyone

Re: Possible bug-out rig
Being a heavy equipment for over 40 years I drove and towed many riggs . I can honestly say that you "never" want to "just get by" with any vehicle. That means the tow vehicle should be above specs for what your towing. Sure you can tow a trailer safely if your within specs, but the wear and tear o...

It's late & I really don't know what to add. As we know, there was a death in my family. Uncle Jim passed. In this case, it truly was a blessing. His final days were painful & not pretty. I am traveling about 2.5 hrs away for the funeral Mass. The BOHM will be well loaded. I have more than one kitte...

Re: Firearms Chat: [2021 - Aw, FFS!]
Well, worth keeping an eye on once the reviews start coming in. I've never heard of Panzer Arms, but if they turn out a decent shotty for $550 or so that's kinda cool. I've mostly seen bullpup semi-autos from them along with some AR-12s. Those seem to have pretty good reviews and the most common co...

That said the RE market in the area near my farm in rural MS has been booming even with new housing going up. I actually had someone (with a NY plate) drive down my driveway and offer to buy our place from my wife. She was neither pleased nor impressed with the intrusion. She also strongly suggeste...

Re: Firearms Chat: [2021 - Aw, FFS!]
I think I'd trust random reloads I found on the floor at a gun range more than I trust the media these days. As for the NRA, the big problem a lot of folks have with the organization all stems from Wayne LaPierre and his cronies basically using the NRA as their own personal spending account. Agree ...
