Old noob, I'm back!

It's been a while, but ZS has been on my mind lately, telling me I needed to return. I'm sure there's more new faces than old since I haven't been active in many years. I assume Kyle still runs the place. I hearken back to the days of Grifter, Woods Walker, Gundown, Gunny, Hawk, Bonanacrom and sever...

Re: Cool, Functional 1911 Grips?

If I had a 1911 for every pair of grips I liked I would have hundreds, but I really love Esmeralda's work.
The thin profile is the best feeling in my hand and they look like a million bucks.

Re: compact and sub compact gun of choice

I love my Seecamp. Never an issue with the heel mag release. I wouldn't mind that P238 at all though, or even better the Mustang it is a clone of. Hell, I wouldn't mind the revolver either. Never mind, I am no help. http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t43/PHMadness/Seecamp2-400.jpg http://i157.photob...

Re: strangest thing you have ever seen

The other day I left the bay area headed east for Utah. I had gotten a late start, I passed through Reno just before sunset. The stretch of I-15 past Fernley and before Lovelock is just about as barren as you find along an interstate. I looked to my right and saw a guy. He was just sitting there on ...

Re: Bullet Speed vs Barrel Length

I'm curious as to how they got some of the numbers they did. Like how they got the velocity of a 10mm fired from a 5-18" barrel, without having actually fired a 10mm through said barrel lengths? I mean the sites neat and all, but I wanna know how they got these numbers. They did . They took an 18" ...

Re: Bullet Speed vs Barrel Length

Thats a neat project. But... I have one complaint. Their real world guns choices are limited. I only checked .380, 9mm, and .40 though. I was surprised to not see any Glocks, XD's, or Taurus guns. Not to mention only two choices for .380 handguns, considering their popularity for CCW. I assume the ...

Re: "The Road" to hit the screen. Will it translate?

I have high hopes but low expectations for the movie. We shall see.

As for the book? Hard to read? I read two thirds of it in the first sitting, I couldn't put it down. I finished it the next morning. It was a super fast read, and a serious roller coaster ride.

Wow. I have long had a fondness for coach guns. This one is appallingly hideous, yet strangely attractive.
I think I could learn to love one, like a red headed step-kid maybe.

Re: Don't shop at O'Reilly Auto Parts

Not to defend O'Reilley's, there are lots of reasons not to shop there. Having turned approximately eleventy million rotors myself, odds are he didn't screw them up. In almost every case I can trace the pulsing to debris. There are some monkeys at parts stores that should never be allowed to touch a...

Buttoned up tight collared shirts. If one getting her arm put her off, you do not want her doing the hot brass tittie dance.

The P32 is a little tamer than the P3AT, still not a real joy. My Seecamp is heavy enough that it is no big deal.

Re: Pick a 32acp for concealed carry

I vote Seecamp. Why? Because it was shiny and I'm a sucker for that shit. And it's a Seecamp and people told me I would never get one, so I did. It has absolutely no sights whatsoever. It's only a .32 caliber. It's fussy about ammo, only in that it must fit in the mag. If they fit, it feeds them jus...
