Re: What Did You Do Today To Prepare?

Found a couple of decent hiking backpacks on clearance at Wal-Mart. Now I need to decide what will go in them.

Re: Bear's PAW scenario 10...

I looked through the glasses again. Most of the shamblers were dressed in jeans or coveralls. Neighbors? Or maybe the family that lived in the house that now was burning to the ground? What's that matter? The zombies want something in there, it might be a clue to what's going on or someone who need...

You've only seen a couple of dead zombies and a looted truckstop. The McDonald's was probably looted when the truck stop was. Never hurts to check. If you're careful. With a capital C-A-R-E-F-U-L.

I'm addicted to your story also.

If there aren't too many zomies, fight 'em off. Otherwise, I'd go with Nicklefish's choice. Can't leave your friends in this kind of situation. You never know when or if you'll find more.

You have a map, take the back roads. They may be more dangerous if there's raiders or whatnot (not that you've seen anything other than zombies in these yet), but they're less likely to have abandoned or wrecked cars than the interstate. The interstates will probably be packed bumper to bumper with ...

I've seen anywhere between $2.35 and $2.56. I work at a truck stop. Seeing the gas prices go up 10 cents and disiel go up 15 cents over a couple of hours is frightening.

All right, I give in

Hi, I'm new. I found this place when someone at a gaming forum I frequent posted a "look at these idiots" thread with a link here. After a couple of days of lurking and reading threads, I decided it was actually a decent idea. So here I am.

Ok, who wants to start drinking cold tea & let us all know how that works out? You can always make sun tea. You put tea bags in a glass jar or a covered black pot with water and leave it out in the sun for 3 or 4 hours and it brews just fine. The ratio my mother uses is ten tea bags per gallon of w...

The elderly can still fight, children can be taught, it all depends on how you use the skills any one who's survived has. If someone is physically or mentally handicaped, it's not likely they'd survive very long anyway. Those that do obviously have some kind of skill that can be taught to others.
